I haven’t liked baking bread in the machine because the crust gets so thick and crunchy. Your bread is soft and very pretty. Thanks for the tip about turning the machine off for 10 minutes.
I made the soft white bread in the book for 1 1/2 lb loaf & the only change I made was I used whole milk & left out the milk powder. It was incredible!
Made this bread today. We toasted it lightly and ate it with butter and jelly. Then later we made grilled cheese sandwiches. Both turned out great. It tastes fantastic. My husband really likes it. Your claims about this bread is true. This recipe is a keeper. Thanks for sharing.
I have tried so many bread recipes. They were good but not what i was looking for. I am new to bread machine baking, well any kind of baking really. I have high hopes for your bread recipie. Sounds wonderful.
Im so loving your videos! I love this machine, but had little understanding of what I could do with it! What type of yeast are you using? Rapid or active?
Just found your videos! I just purchased the KBS bread maker and was thrown by the recipes requiring “gluten “ I’ve watched several videos of yours and you addressed this ( thank you! ) I’m going to start tomorrow with the soft bread recipe you’ve shown. Question: what do you store your finished loaves in? Bags? Container? I’d love to know! Thank you so much for all your recipes and tips and tricks!!
I’m so glad you found my channel. I store my bread in a large plastic bag. You can buy a 2 gallon bag that zips close or a tie bag. The tie type is more difficult to find. I buy mine at an Amish bulk store.
@@ButterflyMeadowsHomestead thank you so much for replying to my question. I am right now making the French bread recipe! Can’t wait to see how it comes out!
Hi I’ve ask your reason for using the 2 lb size instead of 1 1/2 lb size All machine and book instructions say 3 cups of flour is a 1 1/2 loaf. Also in the ingredient list the egg yolk is omitted. It’s in the instructions but not the list I’m a serious bread maker with a very good machine and enjoy your videos very much. Keep them coming.
Sorry I overlooked that in the list I will correct it. I have found the 2 lb cycle with this recipe gives me the best results. The 1.5 loaf cycle left my bread slightly undercooked.
I would have never thought of adding vanilla. Im a beginner, thank you for your tips. I love how yours rises. Mine does not rise that much. I followed another recipe you did but the bread started off so wet I had to add extra flour. I'm not sure what i did. I will try this one. So after the first kneading cycle I push stop or hold down the stop to turn it off completely to rerun the 3 kneading cycles?
@@Anu20810 you can use all purpose flour, but you may get a different texture or the bread may not rise quite as high. bread flowers is used in most bread recipes due to the protein content. All purpose flour has a lower protein content, but since this recipe uses enrichments, it may be OK. All I can say is give it a try. I would love to know how it turns out.
I like the bread. But I am having an issue my bread is not rising and have noticed that the ratios seem to be way off with the amount of flour. I have to add 1 1/4 additional cup of flour or it is way to wet. I follow your directions exactly. you have any idea why
My first thought is that it’s the flour. What kind of flour do you have you want to make sure you buy a good high gluten bread flour. My second thought would be it could be the yeast causing it not to rise., make sure your yeast is fresh.
Thank you Dorinda for this lovely bread recipe, I'll have to make some apple sauce first but I can't find white or clear vanilla extract any ware here in U.K. I love your end of vid tip as well Dorinda, that little extra will improve the dough make it more tender. I'll,let you know when I make it, thank you again. Bless you.😃👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
@@christinegitsham5268 you can leave the vanilla out or use the dark color vanilla (it just might make the bread a little darker in color), if you can't find applesauce you could also use a banana. You might taste the banana a little more than you would applesauce but I have made bread with banana. I actually have a video on it.ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-m8Ai89uKAug.htmlsi=rtGumYogXAiT8SRM
I have the same machine but sometimes think of whether I should have paid the extra and bought the Zojirushi machine. I’m sure you researched it all. If I could change anything it would be a longer paddle to each the sides. ❤
I’ve researched so many and all these bread makers are made in China so I opted for the KBS and it left me money to replace my countertop oven! Plus with Zoji someone commented that the bucket needs to be placed every two years and that costs another $100 !
@@delladearest2511 Thanks for sharing your info - much appreciated and good to know! I think I'm struggling because living in Calgary we a have high altitude (about 3600 ft) and I also have been using locally milled organic bread and all purpose flours, as well as locally cold pressed organic canola oil, which is a BIG learning curve. But I shall overcome! ha ha
