Least she has shown loyalty, faithfulness, kindness and determination by sticking by her 2 girls unlike the father. The young women should be given some support

She seems like a really sweet girl and very devoted to her daughters. She acknowledges that she made her choices and has responsibilities. Don't a lot of us make choices that we regret, or if don''t actually regret, recognize that they have made life a lot harder? She's not a worse person than anyone else, including those who work and pay taxes. Do you want a society where little children will be homeless and hungry or do you want a society that has compassion and cares for those less fortunate?

These comments are awful. Kick a woman whilst she's down. She's trying her best to raise two happy and healthy children, whilst the dad gets to live his own selfish life without being berated by the public!

I hope life has gotten better for this woman she looks like a lovely person

I feel so sad for this girl I have 2 children myself and I'm 21 but Im lucky enough to still be with the children's father I honestly couldn't imagine not having him and having to do everything on my own she deserves a medal 😢

My heart goes out to her & I'd like to assist her by giving her some money just to get by, she's a decent lady who deserves to go to college & have something for herself. Her daughters are beautiful too.

This women and her children are doing the best they can .Who knows, maybe one day those who have said they wouldn't grow up to be productive just may be helped by one of these kids. They could be your doctor, your nurse, or your aide who takes care of you. I just hope that they find you worthy which they probably will since their mum is raising them well. Too bad others were not raised so decently.. Don't cast these people aside. You just may need them one day !

I feel for single parents. Its a job on its own raising children. our older generations had stay at home mums, now you have to do it all. The pressure to be a full time worker and then go home and do everything there, is ridiculous. we should be supporting single parents, not demonising them. my children are grown now, so I have no one to worry about, but myself. i could not bear to give up 24 hours of my life , day in, day out again. it was gruelling and thankless at times s. i remember crying myself to sleep sometimes, because my marriage failed, and I was left alone. I worked in the home and out of it, and I was exhausted and stressed. Now, it feels like a breeze, just working for me . Please be kind to parents. They are raising the next generation, and many of them are doing it with a stigma, that they feel.

I was a teen mum so I know how tough it can be but also know being a teen doesn't make you any less capable as a mum and actually at 39yrs old I find it harder now parenting my 5yr old lol. young motherhood had definite advantages lol x

Watched this a few times, a very honest insight into the struggle of a young single parent, having to survive on very little, I'm a bloke who has always been impressed by the way she controls her own life and look's after her girls, I'm not in her shoes, but I am on a very low income, it's a hard life, she's a lovely mother, would be nice to know what she is up to in 2018/19.

What a lovely woman. She is dedicated to her girls. Her education can be picked up later. The way she speaks to her girls is with kindness and patience. She is alone and doing her very best. She deserves a great life and I think she is the kind of person who will do really well later in her life and her children will be lucky they have a good mum. Charlotte is very mature and together for her age, especially being a single mum of two. I know girls her age who also have kids and they couldn't care less about being on benefits, acting like having kids is contributing enough to society and they deserve to not work. Acting like they didn't choose to have those kids, that they had no choice in the matter. It's important to not view every young single mother as the same though, because yes there's girls who are just scrounges but there's also girls out there who are trying to better themselves.

Absent fathers need to support their kids

I have done both work as a single parent and been unfortunately on benefits as a single parent and let me tell you it's not an easy ride or a happy life you get by on the bare minimum and it's a struggle and hard, but when I work part time 16 hours I get the same in benefits except £70 a week in income support is taken but £320 a month off working tax credits is added aswell as my £500 roughly amount in wages so I actually receive more in benefits when I'm working I still get the housing benefit and tax and working tax credits. There is more council tax to pay than when your on benefits but it certainly isn't a ride in the park,!! Definitely could never afford to drive a car or do anything special with the children it's a system that's there to catch people when they fall, not one invented for long term use and I agree with that I hope to work full time eventually. But my point is that If someone is working don't automatically think there paying tax and not receiving benefits. The real crooks are the multi millionaires who dodge paying their taxes, when your everyday familes are paying large percentages of there income on taxes!!

Poor young girl. She obviously had good plans for her life and to go to college etc. Shame on that cowardly so called 'man' who gave her two kids and then bailed out. I object to taxpayers having to support all these abandoned families, but I also feel sorry for these struggling mums and their innocent children.

you can give a boy a fish to feed his whole family for a day or you can teach him how to fish to feed his whole family for life! this mother has made he chooses in life and accepts the responsibility, what she needs is support to learn how to achieve those things she wants out off life. that is where we all are guilty off rather than slagging her off, whats wrong with SUPPORTIVE advise.

Once again where is the dad!? This poor girl has been left to fend for herself and bring up 2 children and let’s be honest it’s not easy with mum and dad there so by yourself is just exhausting. I am guessing from the immature and socially blind comments I’m seeing that a lot of you are very sheltered from this or lack the life experience to be able to empathise and that’s fine no one should have to struggle in life in any shape or form but until you’ve walked a mile in her shoes you have no idea how heavy they are let’s all have a little compassion
