Great breakdown. There's not enough video breakdown of good throwing mechanics for position players in baseball and softball on youtube IMO. I'm glad you are helping to fill that niche.
Thank you. I wholeheartedly agree, and this is the first of many. I have a ton of infield footage and all types of throws just from a week of filming. If you ever have suggestions of in game actions to talk through, shoot em my way so I can be on the lookout when I’m at a game.
It’s a video camera with a very long zoom lens. Cameras do good slow motion - not as slow as the speed in these - but they don’t have long optical zoom.
@@DanBlewett Thanks that’s good to know. Does this mobility have advantages? Would this be something good to work on in the off season with younger kids?
I know this video has been around a while but these girls are leading with their elbow. In your other video the arm is supposed to be straight. Love to get a follow up on this idea/video.
@@SnapSoftballI guess I was looking at the snap at the end. Your other throwing video with the monument in the background talks about not doing that 12/6 spin snap at the end. Just wondering if the catchers are doing that a little in these clip?
What is the difference in the throwing motion, 1. One has elbows up during separation and ball facing down 2. One has elbows up during separation with ball going from glove to the 90°angle I have seen this being a friction point among coaches
