I’m thankful for getting to spend another Thanksgiving with my family. The added bonus is my one year old Niece gets to spend Thanksgiving this year with us. Last year she was in the NICU only weighing 1lbs 12 ounces when born.

Just curious…..why did Alicia heat the green beans up in the microwave before putting in the lunch containers. They weren’t going to stay warm so what was the purpose. They are fully cooked when in the can.

The microwave is literally right on the next counter if the kids want it warm and the kids are in the kitchen soon after Alicia has made breakfast

I am the youngest of 12 children. My parents made sure all 12 of us kids made our lunches. We were able to have a sweat snack ( normally a few home made cookies). The rest of our lunched had to be healthy foods. We knew to make our lunches properly.

I have a sensitivity to spicy/hot things. If a recipe calls for a teaspoon of cayenne pepper I use an eighth. I love the flavor of hot sauces and such I just can't do the heat. It will actually leave little blisters in my mouth.

About Zoe not liking green beans, it is amazing most of the kids have a like for what the others like. I made 3 lunches and drove me crazy. I guess it is about finding the things everyone likes but I never got there. lol Hair looks great Alicia!

My daughters only way to eat green beans, peas or cauliflower is with applesauce. She dips them in! Now she is ready to try and eat some without, but it has been a process!

A good choice for your next float challenge would be "Mountain Dew Spark" and sherbet. Mountain Dew Spark comes in cans only I believe (I could be wrong), it's raspberry lemonade flavored. And for the sherbet, raspberry or strawberry works best. You could still use any fruity sherbet and I'm sure it'd taste great!
