With veteran suicides up and climbing, it probably won’t be long before the VA recommends this as a cost cutting measure. The American government and people do very little to help us. We veterans have to help each other with little to no help from our government or people. “Thanking us for our service, IS NOT ENOUGH!”
In Canada, where assisted sewer side is legal, they are playing ads to encourage elderly people to “not be a burden on their families.” It’s the slippery slope argument.
It reminds me of the movie Soilent Green. Going home. Assisted self deletion. But in that movie the remains were turned into a green food chip, Soilent green. And yelling at the end, Soilent green is made out of people. They said it was ocean plant based but the oceans were dying. Is that where we are heading? First bugs then people? They already make remains into compost and it’s legal. How sick is this world???? 😭😭😭

Have you seen tho movie Soylent Green Ty? ….creepy in the seventies for being so dystopian …..so creepy today for seeming to feel more familiar …..a ‘new normal’.
I'm going to be in the minority here, I think. But if I was terminal or going to have to rely on other people for my every need, like bathing, dressing, feeding, no thank you. I'd rather have the choice of spending the good days I have left celebrating the love of my family while I still can. Instead of having them watch me decline. I watched my mother & my husband slowly waste away with cancer. It was traumatizing. My husband just laid there, surrounded by family & not able to speak. He just stared. With tears streaming down his face. I'd rather have had him have the option to say goodbye. I'm not talking about people who are depressed, or have a bad day, or mental health issues. I'm talking those who are terminal & choose this way.
My opinion is rarely the popular opinion, and todays no different. I believe there are people that should be allowed to use this. But there would, of course, have to be strict rules about who qualifies. I know my mother would rather die than live as she is, with dementia. Spends most of the day and night in a panic about everything and paranoid. It’s no way to live.
Ya I was thinking through the video what's the issue? I'm not for it either but I'm sure she was taking meds for her issue that would have helped her do it and it be more than likely painless. Only time I can see me having a issue with it would possibly be if individual was being manipulated by another person for personel gain. They said to have a test for that. I would like to see the questions on it out of curiosity.
Wasn’t this actually a topic some years back? I think have actually heard about this machine back when I was younger in one of those futuristic tech videos. Or maybe something similar. And honestly this isn’t different from that one time rollercoaster for ill patients. The Ctrl+Alt+Delete yo ass off the planet machine

I'm anti abortion in most circumstances, and my father has cancer and a DNR, he's mentioned it. I have sympathy and want to understand more but I also don't agree with it. Here in the states a lady set her death date she had terminal cancer also. She had to take three pills. She went to sleep in her bed and never woke up[. It was here on RU-vid.
I wonder if there is a panic button, or an i changed my mind button? I worry that the gov will start using this device on ppl in the future. Scary times we are living in. The 1980s were rad, wish we could all go back to that time.
This is a tough one, problem for me is an awful lot of proponents of MAID tend to make the leap to the next level, where it's no longer just "Choice", and try to justify "freeing up the wasted rescources" by eliminating elderly or terminal patients, WITHOUT consent. There was a story a couple of years back when a Canadian "Help" line worker was pretty much telling every caller they'd be better off, offing themselves. It's a slippery slope. That said, I've watched friends and family with terminal illness devolve into a pain-wracked husk waiting for the end to come. We allow people we love and care for to not have the dignity we give to our animals.

I just could not. So ridiculous and sad. How is going to Hell dignified? I'd be terrified. That's an express ticket to eternal damnation. Imo, a person should receive counseling concerning that possibility. I'd be real scared at the thought of meeting the demons there.
Breathing nitrogen seems to me the most humane way to do it. I almost asphyxiated myself once working with liquid nitrogen. Sparing the details, I felt no out of breath indications nor dizziness other than my vision going black moving in from my peripheral vision. Fortunately, I recognized it right away (from my running days) and was right next to an exit door and bailed out.
Oregon has the Death with Dignity Act in their state. When someone is terminally ill and suffering everyday to have the Death with Dignity Act and now possibly this chamber could be their peaceful way out of suffering. This would be between the person, their doctor, and possibly their God. I say it can include God because if you are saved you can't lose your salvation. I have lost a few people in my life to suicide. I wish they would have spoke to someone so maybe we could have helped them. Their world must have been unimaginable✌❣
so no different then going in your gurage, shut all the doors and lay down in the car with it running and leave a note . your all asleep , no pain..just sleep and .much cheaper way.. Very true they will.
Canada has made it possible ALSO to take yourself out IF you are too poor or sick to live.They have euthanized children without parents consent because the child had diabetes and so on. Does anyone remember the movie Soylent Green with Chuck Connors?Look it up, I think it was the last movie that Edward G.Robinson appeared on. He goes forward to euthanize himself because he was too poor to survive.It’s a great movie from 1973.
