I think he was acknowledged in the better call saul panel which was held prior to this one ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-RgIKAi-jzkk.html
Andrew /\ H-TOWN u can tell a lot of people weren't real fans they barely clapped for Vince gilligan and more for Bryan and Aaron which I get they were the stars but without Vince none of them would have been possible
@@behindthelense5448 true I was just not happy that Gus was not recognised :-( I'm a huge fan of this show I don't know how many times I've watched it lol
My husband and myself literally named our Chihuahua Lalo Salamanca. We are waiting for our next pet to be named Gustavo Fringe. He is a genius character and he was executive greatly.
@@HugoStiglitz88 underrated by what standard? He’s a primary antagonist in two of the best shows to ever be created, and is the the primary antagonist in the far cry 6. Doesn’t sound underrated to me
WHy do you npcs always make the same comments over and over in every video? Is there some sort of stigma in modern interaction that an original idea is taboo or forbidden? God, you all sound the same.
Vince is a genius. He also wrote x files back when x files was one of the absolute best shows ever. I grew up on the x files and fell in love with dana Scully from when I was 3 yrs old lol one of my earliest memories tbh
Giancarlo's acting as Gus terrified me. he always had a very kind, caring demeanor, he was polite. but when he handled business, he kept the same demeanor. he was really quiet. never raised his voice once except right before his death. but even after that, his body language, his facial expressions, were really intimidating, and that in itself is pretty scary. he didn't say a word for the whole time on the episode he killed Victor, silently looking at Walter and Jesse, not a word. never changing his face. even after being drenched with the blood of his own works, he silently cleaned himself, dressed for work, and before leaving, said 4 words: "Get back to work." you know he was very angry with Walt and hated the fact that he couldn't touch him. but you can't read his face. that was terrifying for me. cheers to Giancarlo Esposito for a great performance. deserved more recognition.
Not to nitpick but i do think of one time he raised his voice. When he killed Don Eladio but yo if you finally kill your enemy you've had for years you'd get loud too lmaoo
Giancarlo Esposito's contribution was completely overlooked. Gus Freng was an incredibly maniacally horrifying character played by a brilliant and consummate actor.
You can always tell that Aaron misses the show the most. Must feel like being on the highest rollercoaster as a kid and after knowing you'll never ride that high again.
Dawg I swear you always have a comment on videos I come across. Keep on rocking man, I gotta catch one of your livestreams one day. You got some great guitar videos
I love that the series never has a single line about Marie liking purple, but every fan could tell you without a moment's hesitation that purple is her favorite color
It would be even funnier is someone said "oh wow, you really like purple huh? Everything you own is purple" and she responds "Huh, I never noticed that before"
@@NiziaJamee the host was fucking awesome! Bill burr is a fucking legend! And cut him some slack! I did feel bad for Gus for being cut off... But it seemed like they had a very strict schedule and maybe bill burr was stressing. Its not as easy as it looks to "host"
Gus needs a prequel out of them all. We see in the show a lot about his past that we know nothing of!!! I’d definitely love to see that and also direct so HMU Vince.
Facts I kinda want to see how his life was in Chile because when the cartel killed his friend they said they knew who he was so he must’ve been someone important. Or just how he ran his business before Walt or even before better call Saul because he’s in that show too.
@@JohnnyBandicas exactly bro like when hank was looking into his past in Chile he couldn’t find anything like who was he in Chile and how did he get from being “trash” to who he was.
I’d rather there be a Salamanca prequel that maybe hints at gus somehow. I’m just not sure if there’s an actor that can pull off a young Gus. It could feature a young mike, since he already knew all about the salamancas right from the beginning of better call Saul. Plus we would get to see how mike became a dirty cop.
So I personally feel a Gus prequel could go 1 of 2 ways. Either it'd be too similar a show as it would just be Breaking Bad with Gus in Walt's shoes, or it'd be mostly business meetings and cartel dealings and not all that interesting. I'm of the opinion that Gus is perfect as he is in BB and more information about him would ruin his character or be generally unsatisfying to watch. All of the best, most dramatic moments of his life are in BB
The end of season 4 shows that Walt is just as much of a villain as Gus. Gus is so in humane that he kills a child for business, and the lily of the valley reveal shows that Walt is just as evil and also a villain as he also hurts a child
23:07 This detail is actually pretty interesting. At the beginning of season 1, Jessie calls himself "Cap'n cook". This is of course a play on "captain hook", but it could also have something to do with the historical captain james cook, who also ended up being murdered horribly. This could have been foreshadowing for something that never ended up happening.
@@robowizard6132 well, we knew he was originally going to be killed off after season 1, so it's not out the question. It's just interesting to me, that the information lines up.
@@nnnnnn496 He didn't say that... he said "the best bad guys"... as in he's a nice guy, so it's ironic he writes such good bad guys. Learn how to read before making snide remarks.
Everytime I heard that Bryan had as much fun torturing Aaron psychologically as Walter did Jesse I kind of understand why the show was so good. Great chemistry
Why? So he can tell the same story....how the description of his character was "a bad guy hiding in plain sight" inspired him to act a certain way....again? Heard it like 10 times on various YT interviews.
Vince is too humble. Saying that the pilot is the worst episode is crazy, whether he had help or not. The pilot is one of the best episodes, and the show wouldn’t have ever made it without it. And he deserves to take that credit. Seriously the first episode has all of the spirit and feel of the show at its best.
I wouldn't take any of that all too seriously. Those guys are all saying the things you're supposed to say when you want to keep getting good projects. Just like any work colleagues, some of them really like each other, some of them don't know each other all that well, some of them don't get along.
Carl Johnson that isnt true at all, if you’ve seen Matt Jones, the actor who plays badger, in anything else you’d see that his voice is exactly the same as it is in breaking bad.
Wish we got to hear more from every member of the panel, besides Bryan and Vince. Vince being the show's creator, and Bryan being the driving force of the plot, it makes sense they would get the most attention, but I genuinely wanted to hear more from Anna, Betsy, Bob, RJ, Dean, Bob, and Giancarlo. Even Aaron got a relatively small amount of air time. As Vince iterates many times throughout, it really is a spectacular cast. In a perfect world they would have enough time to discuss the show and its cast at length.
Vince Gilligan’s attitude toward telling a good story is a huge part of the reason the show was as fantastic as it was. He isn’t going for headlines about his plot twist or crazy revelations, but to tell a story for the enjoyment of the people. That’s part of the key to Breaking Bad’s success and the fantastic acting, filming, and direction of the cast and crew
RJ Mitte always has the BEST answers at these panels. I love that Vince Gilligan gave him a question or two like "I wanna hear from this handsome young man in the middle!" and RJ Mitte looks around not realizing he's literally the only handsome young man there. He understood this show on a level that I think the more I hear him speak is on a greater level than any of his co-workers and peers. He GETS it. Such a truly remarkable young professional actor. From beginning to end.
Yeah seriously, when I heard him say that I felt like that was the only time anyone has really conveyed the true meaning of the story in a few sentences. Breaking bad is about the duality of life: how the most innocent wonderful man has the most sinful terrible side of him. I think it says something about human life and the way the universe works
Having a child with Cerebral Palsy I love RJ. He did a phenomenal job as Walt Junior aka Flynn. I know he’s used his fame from Breaking Bad to be an advocate for the disabled community. He’s a fantastic young man, hope to see him in more stuff, because he is a great actor and person.
Having Bill host was an inspired choice. He’s funny, a genuine fan, a character on the show and he really has great questions and banter with the cast.
Missed Jonathan Banks. Wish I would have heard from Giancarlo Esposito. Hate that the panel just has to say how awesome everyone else in the panel is over and over. But damn, I loved this show.
As a person who worked on sets before, no wonder why this show got so good: that strong bound, between all the members of the cast, rarely happens. And when it happens, and when the creator of the show is such a great leader, it's a guaranteed success. They're bros, they'd do whatever it takes to make that great script great on screen. And it led to one of the greatest - if not THE greatest - show TV has ever seen.
That stage is too small for this show! Every actor deserves a standing ovation for their outstanding performances. Never seen any serious so ridiculously acted well. Masterpiece 🤘
1. At 13:31 Giancarlo signals to Betsy Brandt (Marie) that his Mic was off. 2. At 16:01 Giancarlo again complains that his mic is off and is again ignored. 3. At 27:53 Bill Burr seemed like he was asking an important question. Giancarlo responded taking the opportunity to have some talk time. But, he was rudely cut off by Bill Burr at 28:00 . Why? Something is off something is fishy..... Did Gus give a dirty look to someone at Comic Con's team? What happened? I know Bill Burr is a great guy and he is great comedian.... But, seems like someone on that stage or at Comic Con clearly didn't like Giancarlo.
as a german, who watched the german dub of the show, it blew my mind away when Anna Gunn started speaking, because her dubbed voice sounds almost EXACTLY like the real one. Bryan is really really close too, and only Jesse has a kind of different voice color, but his dubbing actor is a legend here, and it fit really well
Gus was so terrifying in the show I hated him so much, which means Giancarlo is excellent in his character. I wish people had had asked him some questions.
there are so many people who had a responsibility to make sure giancarlo got a chance to say literally anything and nobody did. the moderator of the panel could’ve asked him something, anyone else on the panel could have included him (like vince made sure RJ was included), whoever picks the audience members could have made sure someone had a question for him. it makes no sense that nobody here made sure that everyone on the panel got a chance to talk. i feel so bad for giancarlo and for everyone who wanted to hear from him because he was EASILY one of the best characters in the show
I cant believe that Giancarlo Esposito (Gus) wasnt mentioned at all, and didnt get to talk for even 1 sec, even his mic was closed, he tried to speak 1 or 2 times. His acting was amazing and the way he played that part, couldnt be done better.
Got to admit I was late in watching Breaking Bad.It was 2020 when I really first sat down and started watching episode after episode and within a few of them I was hooked.Andbi have to admit,it's probably the best series I've ever seen.Respect and admiration to all the cast and writers from Glasgow Scotland.🏴🇺🇸
Dumbest question: Do you stay in character after shooting or inbetween seasons? Bryan’s answer was so great. Killing people to stay used to the feeling 😂
That dude's got to feel humiliated because he probably realized Brian was being a smart ass. If he had asked between shoots it would have been a good question but he meant off the seasons while he's at home so he got some sarcasm which was justified and funny.
@@_EmperorPenguin yeah, Bryan didn't take any question seriously. He never does. He tries to make a joke literally every time. There was another Q&A where some kid asked what he did around Albuquerque because the kid lived there, but he makes a joke about going over and banging his mom. It was kind of funny, but for 1 didn't answer the question, and 2 it was a dick thing to say.
@@_EmperorPenguin it absolutely is a dumb question in what world do you guys live lmao ? method actors only stay in character during the job, if the shooting for the season is over they go back to being their regular self, any other case would be insane and unheard of
Such a nice guy who writes such horrific stories, but seriously thouing Vince is a wise man and story teller, he knows when to alude to future projects and when not to.
I never ever use this word because the internet overuses it for every slightly irregular thing, but that dude wasting precious time with a useless, idiotic question about a Walking Dead crossover was so cringe I had to take pause. Also: totally lovely seeing them all together again. Very sad Giancarlo didn't get to say anything, that's the problem when you need time for open questions from certain extremely nervous anti-social audience members. Loved seeing Skylar rub Walter Jrs back after he answered his only question all proud of him for keeping his composure, very nice moment. Love all these phenomenal actors and Vince but it was mostly them just complimenting each others work, which is understandable and expected. Bryan Cranston had a lot of fun with it, his charisma and ability to roll with some of those bizarrequestions really made the panel shine. Love Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, greatest dramas of all time!
"extremely nervous anyone social audience members." Very well said. Some of them I had to listen to three or four times to actually understand the question through all the bumbles and stutters.
