something small you may have missed from this episode. Think of when Walt was here to have dinner, family pictures on the walls, children's toys laid out in plain sight. none of that in sight when Jesse is there. gus is so meticulous in everything he has done.

When Walt arrives at the house its warm, inviting, music can be heard and it feels like its supposed to be a friendly dinner between two family men. When Jesse arrives the house is dark, cold, no kids toys or mention of family at all.

We learn in better call Saul that he owns the neighbourhood so this house is really his office not his home. He uses family to manipulate Walt hence the toys and pictures. You only learn that Gus is more evil the more you learn about him. Terrifying character

Walt knows he's only alive for his product. Once Jesse agreed to teach someone else how to cook it, Walt loses all his leverage. And Walt knows Jesse can cook his formula. That's why, "You just signed my death warrant."

Yes and No it's not about Jesse teaching someone else to cook necessarily I mean obviously he doesn't want him teaching the formula to the cartels but that's Gus's plan to do that if he doesn't and they kill Gus first the cartels will come take over the whole operation and they will be involved possibly even killed or enslaved to the cartel I think Jesse realizes that, they need Gus alive while this deal goes down it's more about Jesse being the cook and replacing him for Gus regardless if he teaches anyone else or not if Gus doesn't need Walt anymore he will be killed

I mean to be fair Jesse did screw Walt. His Stupidity, over confidence and need to be the “good guy” towards the end of season 3 is literally the reason Gus changed his mind on Walt. Walt saved Jesse’s life last second and It really bit him in the butt. If he just let Jesse self-destruct and self sabotage; he would have a great working relationship with Gus. But deep down Walt really does have a soft spot for Jesse. That’s 100% facts. 🤷🏾‍♂️💯

I know that you guys are really frustrated with Walt. I actually see that as a good thing. If the show was just about a slick character like Daddy Gus, a super hero like perfect character who doesn't make mistakes, then it would feel unrealistic and flat. The fact that a regular guy who got in over his head in all of this, who is very flawed, and constantly making mistakes, is what keeps the show grounded. It's not a Marvel movie, it's a story about realistic people with realistically bad judgements that frustrate the viewer. You're not supposed to like Walter. And he's not supposed to be a role model or naturally good at everything. His journey is more realistic because it's messy and flawed.

What really made everything go bad was Jesse trying to kill those guys for killing the kid and Walt saves him but that made Gus not trust them and not keep his word so he still wanted to kill Jesse and replace and kill Walt so that kinda caused all this problems but he was right to want to kill them but Jesse is to emotional but yea Walt is the reason he signed another contract with Gus

If you think about it in a meta way, the show actually gets the audience to side with Gus and go against Walt. His persona is so effective even the audience is drawn into it. That said, it's pretty annoying to have you guys miss half of what the show is telling you because you're just deadset in hating Walt. He is a huge asshole but the show goes out of its way to make clear that each character is operating within their own bubble of needs and wants, and they make perfect sense seen from that perspective.

@@Dahmen-ll8cd There are correct ways to experience the show and incorrect ways: clearly we're on the same page on that point. For example, when No Doze has been beaten by Tuco and he shouts at Walt to "do that thing" while miming CPR, some people had the gall to laugh at that. There was nothing funny about that scene at all because a man was dying.

@Reanimator14454 use whatever word you want. Gus is telling Jesse the truth. He needs Jesse's help to diffuse the situation with the cartel. If Jesse knows Gus wants to kill Walt ( WHICH HE DOES), then how is it a hidden agenda? The fact is Gus has only deceived Jesse once. Conversely Walt is constantly lying to and manipulating Jesse.
