This show is amazing. One of the minor details that I find really interesting is how meaningful the names of the episodes often are. Like this episode….”Confessions”…..there are at least 4 major confessions that take up this whole episode. Todd ‘confesses’ to his Uncle about the train heist. Walt fake confesses to Hank and Marie in the video he made. Then Marie confesses about taking the money for Hanks medical bills. And finally, Saul confesses to having Huell steel the ricin cigarette.
The ending of jesse putting all the pieces together of realizing that walt poisoned brock was brillant, i couldn't help but cheer of jesse finally founding out. The amount of emotions that aaron paul portrays in those last few minutes is top tier.
*The writers are nothing short of genius . Every detail implemented into the “confession” is spot on. Flawlessly executed. With Skylar being the mastermind behind the story. Just brilliant*
Not really. Plenty of people get cancer in the US, that don't have much money. You don't see them resort to making meth or committing crimes to make money to pay for it. Walt even had the opportunity to have his treatments fully paid for. If anything, this exposes people's own views of the world around them. Sort of like a morality test of the viewer. Walt having lung cancer is just motivation for some people to subvert their morals.
@@joelwillis2043 Oh no. I just disagree. Don't take it the wrong way. I just figure they would have continually made more about Walt's health and the families health, if it was more centered around pointing out issues with the US healthcare system.
One little bit of continuity I love - remember way back in S1 when Walt & Skylar went to Eliot's birthday party, and they were dressed in what poor people think rich people dress like, and everyone else there was wearing layered beige & off-white fabrics? Walt: "I guess we didn't get the beige memo." Well, look how they dress now.
I don't agree that Hank telling the DEA would have really helped with the effects of the confession. If Hank had gone to the DEA with little evidence, and then Walt had created the video, it could actually look like Hank had been trying to prevent Walt from telling the truth. On the other hand, if Hank was the mastermind, would Walt even be alive to make the confession? So yeah, maybe I do agree that telling the DEA would have been the step. So nevermind.
I've found your reactions fascinating because they're so different from my own! To be clear, Walter is clearly a terrible person. I think what's interesting to me, though, is that most viewers seem to think there's a dual Walter/Heisenberg character. By season 5, I don't think that's true. He's just Heisenberg. The problem is that the characters surrounding him (and many viewers) still think of him as this mostly weak, passive man. He's not. He's a horribly dangerous drug lord. Think about it this way: imagine Heisenberg was someone else (not Walter). Hank finds this guy, and decides to punch him in the face and tell him to hand over his kids so that they can negotiate his arrest. This wouldn't just be illegal, it would be absolutely insane to approach a man that dangerous in that way. I don't know why people (both in the show and in the audience) don't seem to appreciate what a nightmare Walter is, and how seriously you have to take a person like that. Anyway, I loved watching your reaction to the confession tape: one of the most genuinely shocking moments in any television series!
Wow you girls are amazing tbh. I have watched this show countless times and yet i had never noticed that they all were using oposite colors than the ones they used to and that somehow adds a lot to the awkwardness and symbolism of the scene.
There is actually a great video that analyzes the hug between walt and jesse from a channel called Aleczandxr: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-icZEYYjUkiE.html&ab_channel=Aleczandxr that you could check out if u want after the series is over as it contains some spoilers, either as a reaction or on your own time.
And the first scene has come and gone and the reaction was what I expected lol...wondering what Skyler must be thinking and feeling as she stands behind the video camera and watches her "psychopath" husband lying and making up the story about Hank. But what's forgotten (which the writers were brilliant to include and a bit of foreshadowing) was Skyler in season 4 coming up with an equally fake gambling story and even writing out a script for her and Walt to follow and tell Hank and Marie...remember the "Maybe I should shed a single tear?" question she asked herself out loud? lol...Skyler showed Walt how to do it back then like a pro. So I doubt she was looking at Walt in any real negative way as he did the same thing now. Hell, she might have suggested how he should act on his "confession" video.
As fun as it was to see the joy when Walt lost over the past couple of episodes, the reactions to Hank and Marie watching Walt's video were somehow even better.
There are a fe scenes in this episode and the next episode that I've been waiting impatiently to see how you guys react...I think I know how you will but I'm hoping you'll react another way lol. One last comment lol...once again recall back to the very end of episode 4 of this season, when Walt placed the watch Jesse gave him on top of the book Gale gave him. The scene ended with a close up of the watch ticking louder and louder to 12...And now it appears Walt's time may be coming to an end (tick tick tick) thanks to both Gale and Jesse.
Walt still does care for Jesse despite the way he's treated him. You guys think you hate Walt, the last few episodes you will have a rollercoaster of emotions on your opinions of Walter White.
Shout out to Bliss' expressions. I mean seeing all of your faces during pivotal moments are fantastic don't get me wrong(especially how Whitney's head drops back in disgust whenever Walter is being an ugly carbuncle, mood) but something about how Bliss is alternating constantly between open mouthed shock and grinning brightly really is a vibe.
wait, what about the up? im sorry, i'm from there and no one ever talks about us, like ever. please tell me the context. it's just really surreal to hear someone say that, i had to rewind and make sure you actually mentioned it.
Two of us are from Michigan!!! One grew up in Detroit and spent a good chunk of her summers at a camp in the UP and the other grew up in Charlevoix and also frequented Route 2 for those sweet summer beach spots!
@@ReactionSquad that's so cool! did she go to van riper? again, it's really cool to hear from fellow michiganders. you should watch bojack horseman, it's got aaron paul in it and it's the only show i've ever seen to have a major plot point take place in northern michigan. i'm from sault st. marie, which is like mini detroit but with more methheads lol.
Hahaha more meth heads 😂 her family owned the camp it was in Hiawatha National Forest, but Eckerman. We will have to check that out, I love when NoMi randomly shows up in things.
Let the close ups of ShOcKeD faces begin! The rollercoaster is now dropping, but you have NO idea what awaits around the next turn! SOOOOOO looking forward to the next few episodes! Are y'all a few episodes ahead, or are you posting as you watch? Question for Whitney-B-Cute! Were your toenails painted blue or purple? Seemed to shift colors! SMILES from New Orleans!
