Beautiful. First time viewer here. Growing up, my mother always taught me and brothers to help my father cut and clean the yard. She would always tell us "We might be poor, but we're not dirty." We would mow the lawn. Rake the cut grass and leaves. Wash the driveway with a broom and soap. Trim the plants. Water the plants and grass . At the same time, you showed your presence to deter burglaries. She would explain that, "You've got to have pride where you live.
I love this, and I bet y’all had the nicest yard on the block because your family kept it so clean and taken care of! Your mother was a wise woman and i’m going to take her words and remember them for myself as well! Thank you for sharing this 💖
@@anthonyp8291 Same here. I only do my driveway twice a year and have not used a pre-cleaner, just the Karcher and concrete attachment, but next time I might give one a go and see if it helps
@Sammy Boy is it really that bad? whatever that chemical was that he was spraying is going right into their lawn and i suspect he wouldn't still be in business if that killed the grass.
The homes in my area need to be cleaned yearly. Mobile homes particularly. Honestly, I have never seen the like when in Miami-Dade except in extremely jungly properties after a few years.
I love the last part of your comment! All of it's great, but rising for the Hallelujah Chorus? I love it! I'm reminded of the Scripture that reads:"Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised, in the City of our God, in the Mountain of His Holiness. Beautiful for situation, the Joy of the whole Earth, is Mount Zion on the sides of the North, the City of the Great King"! Say what you will, but we have enough people talking the Devil up, and praising his evil, and doing sinful things. Why not have people that live for the LORD, and that'll praise him? If I sound preachy, with all due respect, I cannot and will not apologize!
I wish I never scrolled down the comments. Everyone is kinda negative on such a chill post. I want to get into power washing on the side. Super relaxing for me.
Some people are trolls, but some people are actually trying to help him. If you're a homeowner doing this yourself, that's one thing. But if you are doing this as part of your business then you need to invest in quality equipment and products. I get it, he's a lawn guy not a pressure washer. But if he invested in quality equipment and materials he would see much more improvement and results. Not only that, but he wouldn't have to work as hard. I don't know what he charged for this job, but the results weren't worth it. I would not be happy if I was his customer. Hopefully he learns from others and can add this as one of his successes.
@@montyholland3357 My deal is he is doing this as part of his business he should be doing it right. Where was his pre-treatment? Where was his post-rinse? He is wasting money on Zep when there are better products out there he should be using. Guaranteed that the mold and alge will return within months. You can bury your head in the sand and think he did a good job or you can realize that his job was sub par and he can improve. Hopefully he will take this as motivation to go get proper training in pressure washing. There is far more to it than just running down to Lowes and buying a pressure washer.
Great video! I was going to have a heart attack if you didn’t clean the edges too at the beginning but once you did, I felt at peace. That must have been a lot of work, so congrats for a beautiful finished product!
If i was the neighbor to this house id gladly proceed to spend half of my day watching this guy clean the driveway then proceed to question my life choices
Ik it’s an old video but I wanted to say thank you I’m 17 and these videos like this over the past few weeks have gotten me obsessed with pressure washing and are why I’ve done about 20 hours of research and the last 2 weeks and am opening up a pressure washing company in about a month
Love the ending song you’ve chosen. If you ever get the chance to watch this performed live it’s incredible! I’ve played trombone and sang the ending song. So awesome
Awesome! My wife “Who’s not an avid RU-vid fan” walked in while I was watching this and she said... Wow , this is so Satisfying to watch! Look at the result!
Hey Copper Creek, Nice job dude! You know I used to do this work with my pals with about the same setting. If would have to start again with (assuming its a 2.4GPM) a 12 inch professional disc WITH A BEARING. This discs are so unrealiable they tend to lose stability fairly easy. That upgrade plus knowing how to work on the pump will keep the business up and running. Some "turbo" nozzles are also great for those stubborn walls
Took a break from painting the fence and yard work due to cold wet weather here, to enjoy getting back to watching some if these very relaxing videos. Love it! Great job!! 👍🏻
Awesome Job! The fact that people question how you do business just boggles my mind. Like, you don't walk into a a store and ask what kind of cleaner they use on their floor...I'd be like " what ever the F I wanna use, this is my business, not yours. If I wanna clean my store floor with bananas I will!!
Sadly a lot of people think they are the best at everything (even though probably in reality they aren’t as good as they think they are). They would probably go into a video about brain surgery and make comments to the doctor about how he’s doing it wrong.
I have a Power Washer and try and do my hard scape twice a year. It is fun making a "Clean Spot" and now everyone looks at yours different. I have even done a few friends for $150 a day.
This is still less work than shoveling a driveway, more times than I can count, each winter. I live in Minnesota. Ill have to video myself shoveling, would anyone watch? 😃
So satisfying to watch I’m thinking of doing this on my own because you can get a good amount of money I’m doing a certain amount of square feet on the side
Bleach is key here. All that staining is organic. That zep product is hydroxide based, helps, but need that oxidizer to kill the organic matter then you will really speed up your process.
If you don't "TREAT" the driveway with something the mold just comes right back. I use "Wet and Forget" made in New Zealand available @ Lowe's, HomeDepot, WalMart. Keeps the krud from coming back at my Florida house for nearly 3 years per application.
Great video and fantastic job on that driveway. The only concern I would have is it being rinsed into the street gutter. I wouldn’t be worried about it because I’m aware that it gets applied to the surface diluted and rinsing dilutes it even more but tree huggers will throw themselves like a schoolgirl over things like that. Zep products are good I think.I’ve only used a few of them in the past but they do work really well. Please keep the videos coming
I don't disagree with you at all! Sodium Hydroxide looks to be the main ingredient, which can cause burns on your skin, but like you said with the dilution of pressure washing then the dilution of rinsing plus the time to make it less effective as it works I have no idea what the effect would be down the line. Something to think about, at least, I suppose! :)
I sometimes do this for a living. Always start at the low end and finish high. Then you are not working through your mess that you are making. Then rinse off starting at the high end. When you use high pressure equipment you don' t need the detergent. Wear rubber boots so that you are not walking around in wet shoes all day.
Contrary to what is being said here, I do this everyday 365 days a year.... Yes through winter no problem. Many key mistakes in 1st 3 minutes. But this is a homeowner Washing their own place, I would hope. 1st the machine is just really small and not professional. Homeowners grade. 2nd use a longer pressure hose so that you can work a larger area without playing music chairs with your machine. 3rd Zep sucks to be 100% honest. And yes you do need to use chemicals otherwise your just moving mold away and it will grow back because the root system embeds itself it's the concrete surface. Washing with just water will not remove or kill the root system. 4th get a bigger surface cleaner..... Masonry boots at home depot $18 5th only work the area you can keep wet. Good I see you said this! Never let your chemicals sun dry as the sun weakens their performance. Also rinse before the muck sun bakes back onto the concrete. Just a few tips as I cut the video before he makes it to the driveway from the front walkway.... Not impressed but a typical beginner washer learning the ropes
I always start high so the dirty water runs down dirty driveway and not dirty water running down clean driveway. The shoes don't get that wet when you mainly use the surface cleaner. I am a business owner trying to get into pressure washing. Thanks for the comments!
@@CopperCreekCuts keep up the great work man. about a week ago i did my last softwash that i had scheduled just using thumbtack and FB to get more clients through the winter. ive been doing quite a bit of leaf removals though so that's been keepin me afloat.
@@CopperCreekCuts My dude, you're doing it right! Somebody wants to suggest that you start at a low place, and finish up at a high place? That'd make about as much sense as wiping your nose before you blow it! You and I both know-that don't make any sense at all! You definitely did it right! It just goes to show you just how many nutjobs and wackos there are in this old world of ours today!!! Keep up the great work!!!
@@CopperCreekCuts But you COULDN'T see what had been cleaned through all the soap. Constructive criticism/opinion here: Given the choice of having dirty water run down a clean driveway or dirty down a dirty, I'm choosing the former. Being able to see Precisely what was cleaned while keeping the upcoming parts dry/free of obstructive soap relieves you of unnecessary strafing back and forth. Very efficient. On the other hand, you don't want dirty water running down a 1st pass driveway....as if you WEREN'T going to do your 2nd pass... you DO do a 2nd pass right?!?!
I appreciate you taking the time to make this video. Got to ask though..Are there no state regulations about collecting the water with chemicals before enters the drain system.
Don't set your gas can on the lawn, man. As a lawncare guy, you know. Gasoline kills everything and sterilizes the ground. Otherwise, 8.5/10 on the driveway. Strong work.
Sometimes you have to go over it twice for the best results but if the customer is Satisfied with what is done the first time, which they should be given that it's a night and day difference, I'd just stick with that
When I saw the vid start, I thought sure, this guy will get it a little cleaner. But wow, you really got the deep penetrated dirt & grime up. Drive looks great now!!
Before there were Pressure washers...there were soap, water , bleach , chemicals and a DAMN push BROOM. I use my push broom to tidy up between pressure washing...
Haha, it loses some of its appeal when you factor in the heat and hours spent on the job, but I enjoy the process and making videos, so at the end of the day I am happy!
I think you meant "It's not hydrochloric acid, but it does the job" Sorry for nit-picking. I imagine what you use is better as it doesn't eat into the concrete surface destroying it over time if not resurfaced. Costing a client twice. Great job..
I was trying to make a play on the hydroflouric acid used in scenes on the television show Breaking Bad. One of main characters is asked if it will work and replies "It will do the job." So in this case it isn't hydroflouric acid (what they used) but it will get the job done. Loses its humor when explained 😂
