He should have showed Heisenberg the respect he deserved.

You feel sorry for him being a murderer.....? Dude the guy was going to kill Walter and Jesse earlier in the series for no reason hell Walter tried helping the condescending asswhole get out of town and still was ungrateful despite Walter forgiving him for trying to kill and Jesse. Michael had it coming and so did Gustavo
@@antheadart Great subtle reference to the Sopranos. It’s what Phil Leotardo was referred to as by his granddaughter. Vince and Cranston were both big fans of the show and James Gandolfini in particular.
+Aimee Frost There only seems to be two; I'd Rather Eat Pants an NPR Morning Edition radioplay and I'm Brave! which is a children's book. I think +ThyerHazard is talking out of their ass.
Banks is a fabulous character actor. He totally came into his own on BB as the believable Mike and it really sucked when he was offed. But because of that, he'll be remembered even more.
The role of a lifetime for Jonathan Banks. He was so bloody good as Mike that we could never think of him as "acting'. He was real and he was scary. Love this guy!
This was close to 8 years ago and is still one of my favorite shows on RU-vid. A remake of this show with either the same or other guests would be amazing.
He's such a great actor. When I was a kid and in my teens and saw him on TV and movies he scared the shit out of me. Now I'd kill to have a drink w him and talk to him for 5 mins.
I almost used the words pick his brain in my post lol. I've seen several of his interviews since Breaking Bad, and he takes his craft very seriously as do most actors. And he says mother fucker a lot. IDW but I love that about him lol. He seems very cool
On Jonathan Bank's last day of shooting (the episode where he dies) the entire cast and crew wore black arm bands in honor of Mike, and gave him a big picture of the cast that everyone signed for him. He was very emotional that day, and for an actor to be that in love with his work/character I find amazing. The actors in Breaking Bad literally BECOME these characters... they eat, sleep, and breathe the characters and it reflects in the work. BRAVO Mr. Banks. Goodbye Breaking Bad.
No doubt, I noticed that too, freaking scary. I mean this dude is one of the best actors I've ever seen. And I remember him when he was young, and I was a kid back then and he was downright scary. Very memorable actor, and unbelievably talented.
Lucas Munhoz yeah, but it's probably going to show the roots of Mike's cold-heartedness. It's probably going to start off when he was still a cop in Philly.
I love this guy... Unbelievable actor in my opinion and my favorite character on Breaking Bad. Nobody can do so much with a scene by saying so little. Mike was bad ass.
Banks is awesome. He got my attention back in the "Wiseguy" days--stole every scene he was in. And truly, Mike was the most sympathetic character on Breaking Bad. Glad JB is finally getting the respect he's due.
Man, this guy is such a bad ass, even not in character, you can just feel it when he talks and some of the looks he gives. It's like Mike's character is there sometimes in this interview, kind of scary. What an incredible actor, just brilliant.
I hope Better Call Saul goes 8 Seasons and we enter an alternate timeline where Mike kills Walter. Sorry Brian Cranston, but if it's between you and Mike, you got to go!
Well if so, I hope season 3 picks up and gets good pretty quick because they let it slide. It's all about u stole muh case, oh i got the case back. jimmy are u slippin? it's turning into ... the way family guy went downhill by becoming all about repetitive "remember that?" style humor..
IsawUupThere you know, I agree. Breaking bad should have ended with mike showing up to the scene where Walt killed jacks people and he shoots Walt. then the show end with him turning to Jesse and saying "we got work to do" -SCENE!!!! Then there's a kickoff show about mike and jesse
Absolutely one of the most underrated actors in Hollywood. I was a fan of Jonathan Banks and never knew his name. What an awesome guy, and phenomenal actor. Reminds me of my dad.
Biggest bullshit that way of thinking.. Not saying their specific instances their wrong (redskins).. But loss of liberty due to someone taking offence is downward spiral and not something to be adorned as ethical
Just waiting for the interviewer to go randomly "I fucking love this band! They're the best band EVER, PERIOD! Tenacious D!" Sorry, but he has burnt an image into my memory. :P
"if somebody is offended by it, then change it" Excuse me but this guy is no badass. A badass doesn't care who he offends. Little girls and weaklings do though
Realistically, pretending to be a badass doesn't make you a badass. It makes you look immature. And Jonathan Banks doesn't have time for your immaturity because he's too busy being a real badass.
Word, that kind of thinking is bullshit. Censorship is bullshit. If people are offended than so what? Someone being offended doesn't mean that the whole world has to change around them to ensure their comfort.
"If somebody's offended, just change the name!" Hey Jon, it's 2016 calling, and uh...everybody's, like....like really, really offended by everything. Hope the next three years treat you well. - The Future
People have always been offended by something. 60 years ago, you would have to write letters to tv stations to say how offended you were, the internet in the early days you could blog about how offended you were, now with social media being what it is, it seems like everyone is offended. It's similar to the idea of how some people think the world is more violent but in reality the internet just shined a light on something that's been around forever. Same idea applies. In the early 90's people were freaking out that a gay dude was on a TV sitcom, now people get offended when they see a woman or a person of color taking on a lead role in a game or comic series that was normally lead by a white dude. So you'll get two sides of it; one side being offended by not having representation and the other side getting offended because the other side is offended and they don't agree with them. This shit had been going on for over 50 years, but the internet makes it seem like it's a new thing. Tech changes but human nature doesn't. We're just as big of pussies as we were in the 60's as we are now.
Jonathan Banks took this role and did something AMAZING with it. As a die hard BrBa fan, to me it's a beautiful thing to see how emotional and saddened Mike was to be leaving the show. He was visibly sad and blubbering, while openly admitted that this character and this project (Breaking Bad) is hands down the BEST he has ever been involved with in his 40 plus years of acting. THAT is saying something. He took a one episode cameo (season 2 finale) and made it into something VERY special.
***** Um, you're as wrong as wrong can be. You do have a right to say whatever the hell you want. The first amendment is there to protect unpopular speech, not popular speech. There si no need to protect popular speech. On top of that, no one has a "right" to not be offended. A right to be free from offensive speech would have to be a right to shut others up, therefore violating their right to free speech. You've got this all wrong. & Gibson's career was not ended. He continues to make top selling movies.
***** I suppose you're like every other peace and equality loving liberal and think that you're better than people who live in Tennessee and Mississippi. Is that about right? You believe you're superior to others. That's laughable. No, I don't live there, but I don't see what where I live has to do with anything. Anyway, Public Policy Polling did a poll on it, since you think I'm making things up you can look it up for yourself, but how funny is it that you were unaware a poll was even done, yet you comment on this issue. Roger Goodell stated that 9 out of 10 native Americans support keeping the name as it is, according to an Annenberg Institute poll. I don't like O'Reilly. He is too much of a lefty for me, but let me take a stab at you, mister offended by things that offend. You're one of those far left wing nut jobs that follow MSNBC's every nonsensical word that is dumb enough to believe that black conservatives are "house blacks" just trying to impress whity. How did I do?
***** Yes you do think you're better than other people. You reek of that kind of arrogance. I didn't lie about anything. I gave you a citation you asked for. I gave you 2 actually. One of which shows that 90% of native Americans, from what I read, is not offended by the name Redskins. If you're going to claim to be more intelligent than me, then you need to read a little better. Otherwise you just look like a silly fool. You said " an entire RACE OF PEOPLE". were offended. Now I could say that you're wrong about that or I could behave like you and say you're a liar telling lies. I just think you were wrong. Now let's not pretend that you knew a poll was done. The way you talked about my "information", putting the word information in quotes as a way of questioning if there was any real information there at all says a lot about what you knew & didn't know. If you don't watch TV and don't watch O'Reilly, then how do you know if he has left wing views or not? No one writes about him that I am aware of. He goes on the View sometimes and seems right of center to those people, but that's because those people are so far left that the center is over the horizon for them. I love reading. Do it all the time. I wonder if any of you lefties can talk about anything without childishly slinging insults at people who don't agree with you. You may hate me, but I love people like you. I want you guys to challenge me on what I believe. I want to believe the right things and know the truth, so you challenging me either reinforces what I believe or makes me rethink my position. If most people were offended by the name Redskins, I still wouldn't think they should change their name just because people were offended. People being offended does not mean they can take away the free speech of others. You're purposely trying to offend me. SHould I be able to shut you up? Hell no. Say whatever you like. It's your right and it's my right to respond how I see fit.
***** You're impressively foolish. Calling me strange.... to yourself? Redskins is the name of a football team, not a racial slur. It can be a racial slur I suppose. It use to be, but today when someone heard redskins, they think of a football team. It doesn't matter what a dictionary says about it. If you were as smart as you claim, you would have understood my calling you a peace & equality loving person as you attacked me and behaved like you were superior, or more equal, to me. Get it yet? It was pretty obvious I though. You're calling the name of a football team "The R-word" lol. That's fucking funny. Seriously, really funny. When did grownups become so ridiculous? I expect that a lot out of these Hollywood actors whose job it is to feel and imagine the feelings of others instead of thinking. For other people, it just seems idiotic. Like you're begging for a cause to fight. Everything is so great that you pick dumb ass things to get upset about. This is the same stupid kind of thinking that had that cable new station say they would stop using the words "target, aim, etc" because of the Giffords shooting. Actually apologizing for saying "targeted district" or "taking aim at such & such issue". Just buffoonish.
love this guy;great actor;best compliment i could give is the first time i saw him in breaking bad;i immediately thought of beverly hills cop.about 36 years apart.i am a big fan
There's no way I wouldn't like this, as Breaking Bad is probably my favourite show and Paul F. Tompkins is my favourite comedian. But goodness, what a delight to hear just how enthusiastic and joyful Jonathan Banks is talking about his craft and his collaborators. What a cool, present person.
