I'm using 11-52 gauge strings. My guitar is in Drop C but I use a Digitech Whammy Pedal to play 2 semitones down in Drop A#. I do this so I'm not constantly changing strings to play in a lower tuning.

Yeah that's right. Definitely is dissonant but that's what it seems like is being played based off what I can see in multiple live videos. Tried 8th fret barred originally but it just sounded a bit off, so this makes sense.
