Most songs on Dear Agony: Wow, what an intriguing introspection complemented by great musical talent. Hopeless: Absolutely beast-sounding, wicked instrumentals and vocals! Seriousy, Hopeless is the black sheep of this album, and that's not necessarily a bad thing.

I love the line, "I can hear the devil call my name." Reminds me that even though I am a Christian, the devil still tries to get me to fall from God's arms even though I never will. At times when I feel like I can't hold on, I just hold on tighter and won't let go (my belief).

I am fairly certain Ben is talking about the struggle with a serious mental illness. Specifically the thought of suicide and not because you to be dead, but because you desire to feel free from the torment and live and when you feel this torment you feel "Hopeless" and you rationalize being dead as the only way to be free. It's some heavy shit man.

Andrew Lopez Did you know that on Ben's Breaking Benjamin Facebook page, he released a teaser trailer video for BB's return? It looks pretty beast. I plan to cover as many of their new songs as possible. I just hope all of them aren't DROP A# because my Strat doesn't handle that tuning too well. Lmao

Breaking Benjamin really improved since their last album. They are officially not an underground band, I see people who listen to them all the time now. If they improve off this, they will definitely be my all time favorite band. For now they're in my top 3.

This song is about that voice inside all of us; The minds struggles while buried between the positive thoughts that tell us everything will be okay vs. the negative thoughts that bring us down. I like this band a lot and their songs are very relate-able. The only thing i can say is that when they scream with frustration in some parts of the song (ex. "hopeless..worthless..guilty") , it somewhat disturbs me and kind of feels traumatic.
