I swear there are delay effects on his voice in the final mix. Neither this nor the backing version have that delay. or I’m just crazy. Edit: I’m not. It was edited for Rock Band.

Pretty sure Rock Band gets the Masters for all songs so they can just split up the different parts of the songs just like when they were recorded. So what you hear here is exactly whats on the actual track you just may hear it different because it's just the raw vocals without the different layered instruments.

in the master recording, theres no delay except for the main vocals. theres just ALOT of backing vocals giving that delayed effect

He's got a very good voice, though. I could pick out three tracks. One more of a talking in a lower register. One was his actual singing, and I think the third layer was in a higher register. I think it kinda adds to the ambiance in the song and does give it a bit of a fuller tone.

KyleJPie10 I think his vocals have greatly improved since The Diary of Jane, but their label pushes them to use a poppy vocal production (Hollywood is a pop label). Check out The Dark of You and you'll see what I mean. Torn in Two and Tourniquet as well.
