Young Thug's racketeering trial began in Atlanta on Monday. Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis has accused the rapper of co-founding a violent street gang. Noah Pines, partner at the Atlanta-based law firm Ross and Pines, joins CBS News to unpack the case.

Frankly, i think this will set a dangerous precedent. I mean, unless the lyrics literally state: the who, when, where, how, & maybe even the why? then there's just so much conjecture. This could also seriously restrain artistic creativity in Musicians' song writing lyrics. And what about Book Writers - fiction OR non?

This has nothing to do with being an artist. If you commit a crime. Don’t rap that crime on a record. The lyrics are a minimum. He ordered people to be killed and had people killed. He deserves where he is.

Rico cases are not common and that county has two very high profile rico cases going on at around the same time, prosecuted by the same DA's office, so it not that weird to briefly mention it in passing. .....plenty of legitimate criticisms of the media to be made but this one just seems silly.
