In a statement, the EBU mentioned that the reason for this was an 'aggressive gesture towards a camera(woman).' Since the cameras were rolling at the time, there is footage of the 'aggressive gesture.' This is the footage.

Lol, people don’t get this is a joke, or at-least it seems to be. He didn’t threaten her lol she was harassing him and he told her to stop and she didn’t listen so he grabbed the camera and pushed it down.

So in the song he does a gesture that shows dying and in the money of the line it says "Welcome to Europe stay till I die Euro pa pa Euro Pa pa" So that person that makde this is lying and not true

This is a disgrace to justice, Joost is s obviously at least 50 meter away from the guests and spectators, he is looking forward so it is obvious the "aggressive" gesture wasn't reffered to anyone

Holy shit. This is a joke 😂 it was backstage where the incident happened that wasn’t even that serious but they disqualified him anyways #justiceforjoost. But, he pushed away the camera since it was agreed upon to not film backstage but they did it anyway and wanted to be the victim so they “reported” it
