Fire ants eat anything on the ground. Wild, or free range bunnies are nesting in holes in the ground. And for the past 35 years fire ants have decimate bunny populations. By taking out the babies in the nest. They also decimated the Mexican brown tarantula populations. Before fire ants reached the U.S. I saw them both on a daily basis.
