Join the science discord! / discord That was way more work than I thought it would be! Total time to get the safe open - 3 hours of labor. hard labor. And I don't even know what to do with it now :O
...inside a simulation, under a pineapple inside a simulation of a simulation inside the matrix inside a taco within a taco bell, inside a KFC inside a mall that's inside your mind... inside another giant simulation
@@benlee2765 That would make sense. Trying to figure out what it means when you bite someone in your dream and you have a terrible taste in your mouth. Says something like... you bite that person because you worry for them or wanna protect them or something... But the bad taste in my mouth after biting is more significant I know this. It's proly me eating a spider or something why asleep xD
@@benlee2765 I used to have those dreams all the time, I'm being chased and desperately need to get away but I can't run due to lack of strangth, sometimes I fal land can't get up like my legs are made of led. I often have dreams of getting shot at as well.
It was probably already broken into and robbed by someone who tried to guess their way into the safe, and as it was only a one-digit combination, they probably got in and that's why there wasn't anything in the safe.
Make a metal foundry out of the safe, the hole is great for a propane torch extension and the door allows easy access to a melting pot and it can be closed to conserve heay
Bury it in the back yard with a bunch of fidget spinners. In 500 years from now they'll find it and be like, "WTF?! Fidget spinners? These are ancient and valuable artifacts from 2017!"
Not that long. Safes are only useful because a thief can't just drag a cart full of equipment into the room with the safe and then proceed to connect it all and make a ton of noise. When someone manages to steal a safe, it's basically useless. There is nothing that can stand an hour against power tools like the plasma cutter and/or a jackhammer.
Imagine backyard scientist Robbing a bank: GET DOWN OR ILL SHOOT!! AND MY BULLETS HAVE SODIUM IN THEM!! AND ABOUT THE SAFE I DONT NEED THE KEY GET DOWN AND SHUT UP!!! *pulls out plasma cutter
If you called the video "Breaking into a massive 1000lb Safe with a Fidget Spinner and lightsaber" you would've gotten 10x more views. Sometimes I wonder what is happening with humanity...
Have one exactly like that. I had to break into it with a drill and scope. I rebuilt the locking mechanism and restored it. A 100 year old safe should be restored and used as a functional conversation piece.
EXPLOSIVES ARE STORED IN SAFES!!!! NEVER CUT INTO A SAFE WITHOUT KNOWING EXACTLY WHAT IS INSIDE OF IT. There are many cases of people vaporizing themselves doing exactly that. My brother is an eye witness to a guy using an oxy torch to burn through a safe he got in a storage auction, best as the authorities could tell, it housed professional demolition charges.
I've always been a "gun guy." The other week, I decided I'd also become at least sort of a "knife guy." Well, guess what I learned after my sharpies came in the mail (SOG, Ka-Bar, Eese, Spyderco)? I learned that you can unload and make safe a gun in about three seconds, tops,...but a knife is ALWAYS "loaded." Just a moments lapse with a sharp blade can really alter your life. I didn't have the horrific experience you had but I got my attention twice in three days, let's say that. Wow. If I had a kid, I'd let him near guns before I'd let him near a super sharp blade; too unforgiving. I bet that's another, less obvious, reason Civil War cavalry got rid of those giant razors they used to carry in scabbards in exchange for single shot carbine or just extra pistolas! Also, not until considering carrying one did I ask myself the question if I would be able to defend myself with one of these tools if I had to? The answer is easy with a gun (and I carried one for 23 yrs) but considering the dreaded "knife fight in a phone booth" scenarios makes one really take stock of what would happen if you ever had to depend on one of these things and your gun wasn't available or jammed...and the other guy had a knife, too. Yikes.
And the really funny bit when you do try this at home: Modern safes have layers of copper, plasma cutter + copper is really fun, as in exploding molten copper fun.
I'm not even joking, I helped move that exact safe from the guys house, took and engine hoist to get it out. I'm very surprised to see this on your channel. def didn't expect this lol.
Netraft _ What's funny about that is in PD2, using a thermal drill to break into a massive vault door takes only about 6 minutes with a thermal drill, while him using a plasma cutter on a safe takes over 10 mins to simply cut through the first layer. I guess the thermal drill uses lava for drilling.
Kevin, I've been subbed to you since you put that molten aluminum into the oobleck, (I'm not sure how many subs you had back then but oh well) and the amount you've grown is I N S A N E. Kudos to you dude.
This is such a missed opportunity. He totally should have done a collab with the Hacksmith. Can you imagine: "Plasma cutter VS. Lightsaber IRL, who will win?"
Yous should make it look like the safe is OK and then put it inside of a hole anywhere else at a public place near an old building and writte on a paper where is it and how to oppen it. Then Cover it with dirt and gravel as the surrondings and wait it to look like nothing happend (a montz or so) then gift it to a primari teacher to play with the children to find and work together to take it out and oppen it. Like to let him see it. Also sorry 4 my english.
Le me: watches LockPickingLawyer videos Also le me: sees MasterLock safe Le me again: "A plasma cutter is overkill. You probably only need wirecutters to open that"
