I'm glad I'm not the only one who has tried this since I always feel ridiculous running around the open world lol. My set is around 400+ healing currently.
@@leetphelps2516 Haha nice, av exalted has a crazy offhand and over time I assume stuff like the red dragonscale pieces could become pretty affordable. Could get over 500 eventually. Mail being better too since our pets take a % of our armor!
@@shiftystab5072 That first fight the boss hits so hard I had to time to use bestial wrath right at the end of a mend pet since although it being off gcd it still breaks a mend pet cast. Also if I blew shell shield early in the fight my pet would always die later to big burst and mortal strike healing debuff.
that's kool, I was thinking healing hunter as in like wrath and beyond BM hunter with 5 spirit beast rotating mend pet. accept for you'd just gear normally cuz attack power increased the spirit beasts mend pet healing.
I think vanilla was the only time mend pet ever scaled with healing power as well. When it became instant cast instead of channeled it also stopped scaling I think.
@@Bog9 that's a kool niche peace of knowledge to know. Whenever I rocked a hunter I'd always pick up one of those turtles from the barrens oisis, prefered the tank pets for soloing
So the turtle really worth it? And ty about reminding about green boe items with healing 😅 I completely forgot about them. Will add to my list and replace some items. I think broken tooth will be smashed by voon
The turtle vs Voone specifically is nice because there is almost always a time shell shield is the difference. Broken tooth would probably be obliterated from parry hasting regardless of your +healing. And yeah the +green healing items you can usually find some cheap ones if you check often!
Is this possible to do in Vanilla Classic by chance? I know some of the sets aren't available for Hunter there. Also is Orc the only reliable choice to pick due to the 5% damage bonus or is there another race that can offer something for the pet?
@@KamaNightfire Mend pet scales in classic era the same way. T1 3pc in era also gives the same bonus as the Band of the Beast ring. However, the main problem is you would oom from spam healing. Aspect of the viper mana regen in sod is making this possible. The 5% pet dmg adds a little but overall doesn't matter much.
I hear yah. I got all 18 slots on me and 16 slot/18slot bank bags all filled. I have to mail pots/arrows to my alt then return them so my mailbox is like my 2nd bank haha.
@@Allonsy-tg8el Some don't come with bite or shell shield go to www.wow-petopia.com/classic/family.php?id=turtle to see what they come with. I learned max rank bite from lbrs wolf and shell shield off a different turtle then grabbed the highest level turtle which is lvl 54 in Azshara.
@@Norththeninja In P2 it was actually more dps to stack SP over regular gear due to how chimera was scaling but they nerfed that so no it's not really viable anymore. Your serpent sting and arcane shot still scale with sp, maybe chimera too but it's such a small amount now you'de be losing more damage overall.
@@DerBrunne The ledge is decent, late 50s it's only about 2 bars of pet xp per 5minutes though. I just don't know anything faster. I tried some big ogre pulls but the xp sometimes would bug and give like 5-10xp an ogre. The frost trap nerf doesn't impact the bug/dog farm at all I have a 2nd vid showing it too.
If you can past the 7 dwarves, probably. The 7 dwarves are really hard to solo since they send the next dwarf out after x amount of time passes making it easy to fall behind. I accidently bugged the encounter and kited and killed them all but the first 1 and even though the final guy died I wasn't able to get loot and the door didn't open haha.
@@Bog9 Yes! I would dual box my warrior and hunter haha. It's impossible to get groups for Emp runs to get HoJ + Ironfoe for my warrior so trying to figure out creative ways to get it
@@Chris920809 You could probably kill 7 dwarves with a warrior. Play bm, let pet tank. It's the lack of dps that is the problem completely solo. You can also chain trap them if you need a little time.
@@fastee I leveled mine in dire maul doing aoe ledge pull with dogs and bugs. It's pretty good xp until late 50s then it's about 2 pet xp bars per pull ~5 mins. I couldn't find anything reliably faster. Your pet gains xp while dead if you leave it on the ground and don't call it which despawns it. You must be killing mobs that would also give your character xp even if you are lvl 60 and your pet is a way lower level.

I showed up to gnomer a couple days ago thinking it'd be easy but got lit up by Grubbis not cause I couldn't heal my pet just the adds. I didn't put too much time into it and didn't even realize he spawned adds besides his basilisk since the fight was so short when raiding. I think for Grubbis it's better to play LW and try to kite everything while looping up this ledge and back but I had him reset once while doing that.
I don't have enough reals to buy that atm and I only have BotB. For the doomshot boss you would want pvp trinket anyways for hex. But yeah if you had both you could use on first fight.
