1k a week for a Class A driver is alright man but look further. I'm local too. 5am to 3pm, no weekends. 1,650 a week hauling demolition with a tipper trailer. Drop and hook only at both ends. Look into it.

I’ve been local since I got my CDL I love being home with my wife and kids every night. To bag a good paying local job it just takes a couple years experience and your endorsements to roll in the dough and be home daily.

I work for swift and he’s telling the truth. I run local on a Walmart account and the loads are nun stop. 50 to 60 percent of it is drop and hook. On the dedicated account we slip seat so we’re never in the same truck. So you can be the best driver in the world and get stuck in a truck that BEAT to hell from a driver that just started and tore it up the day before. On this account they will run you as hard as you want the loads are definitely there on the dedicated side

not much difference between a company and a lease

If you have a lot of bills or a spending problem, lease is a very bad option if the rates are bad. If rates are good, you're making money though. Really depends on the market.

As a broker. I just log onto truckers youtube channels just to see how toxic they are to each other...it's sad and entertaining at the same time

@Black_579_ they preach it but then give you loads you can’t do legally and say our commitment is to the customer and the loads they give. I was a home daily driver and they’d run me where I wouldn’t be home. My dispatch said.. I’m the one who says if you get to go home every night it’s not up to you. Umm… then don’t offer a home daily position The way they would have me run I was told to start my day using PC and end it using PC. Some days I’d be in the truck 16-18 hours. And they refused to reschedule loads I couldn’t do. One day I delivered a load after 3 hours of sleep and about 5 hours into my 10 cus they wouldn’t. I just went into violation so I’d avoid my dispatch harassing me

@@PrinceAli_40 guaranteed 1250, most weeks around 1400. On the weeks I’d gross close to 2k after taxes I was still only taking about 1500 or so. It’s not worth beating yourself to death on the road and running your clock out for maybe another 100 bucks
