As a veteran I honestly cannot believe what is happening in this country. It’s completely embarrassing. Degrading the very structure that makes us proud to serve doesn’t make our military stronger. Keep your work ideology out of the military. So sick and tired of this crap.

I am a disabled veteran with 12 years active duty and six years army reserve. The story I relate it’s from my first tour of active duty in the 82nd ABN Div. My platoon consisted of 24 guys and 5 noncommissioned officers. To say we were a mixed bag of races is putting it mildly. White, Black, Hispanic, Middle Eastern, Asian, and one Native American. I mention Singer (Navajo) because he was my best friend. We were a tight group. I don’t remember race ever becoming an issue. You see we had a very dangerous job. We jumped out of airplanes. We trained for combat. We did the kind of stuff that you needed to have somebody watching your back. We trusted and protected each other. We succeeded in that job. I guess that’s why Paratroopers are called a Band of Brothers.

Pretty clear the guy pretending to be The Chair has zero idea of what his role is or what a Parliamentary Inquiry is. They can't be refused. Who is this guy? A junior junior member they dragged out of the restroom?

My whole family served in the army and navy, my father and I in the Marine Corps. I will do everything in my power to make sure my children don't serve in the military unless things change.

It is absolutely heartbreaking to see our military being deliberately destroyed.....along with our country.

My husband is a proud Marine Veteran & half of his platoon was minorities & OMG those fellow Marines are just Marines, his brothers, his fellow Marines who he would die for & they’d die for him with zero hesitation! Race was never an issue because they were all Marines Kickin ass for our wonderful country!

This is why me and numerous military members left.

When I was in the Army, I clearly remember being quarterly briefed on the DOD policies, which ensured no one's race(physical characteristics), ethnicity, religious affiliations, creed, should be held against the individual. DEI violates the DOD policies that ensure everyone should be treated equally. Promoting individuals for diversity quota, not by merits, creates division in a unit. DEI needs to be removed out of the DOD.

I’m a retired Air Force veteran I served the United States of America for all Americans. We don’t serve one group or another we serve all.

Wow, good to know that every Vet is now safe because they were able to attend DEI training! As a Vietnam vet with two tours under his belt, I am lost for words to explain how lucky I was to receive real training that helped me and my brothers stay alive during actual combat. Thank God these people weren't born yet to help us....

Coming from a 22 year Army retiree veteran I can personally attest that up to the year of 2009 when I retired race was never a consideration in the numerous airborne units I was assigned to. We all had tremendous respect and appreciation for everyone else. We only saw the color green when we looked our fellow paratroopers in the eyes and we each knew that no matter how bad a combat task became we would have each other’s backs. The democrats insistence that race, sex, gender etc. become a top priority is not only tearing our military to shreds but it’s also destroying our country.

I never experienced a bigger "melting pot" than in my military service. We had every demographic you can imagine, and no one cared about anything other than being good soldiers and taking care of each other.

I'm sorry to say, but now that I've grown up, and can see things with my own eyes, I can see now, that our country is an embarrassment to the world as it stands right now, if we can't stand together to fight for the right reasons and causes, how can we stand together to fight injustices and right wrongs within the world.

So glad I got honorably discharged when I did. All of this is so bogus. I feel bad for my bothers and sisters in arms, that these people care more about someones skin color then the colors of red white and blue.

I'm black, athiest and MAGA! born and raised in u s virgin islands. Ditched an art school scholarship to join the army from there voluntarily when I was 19. Cavalry scout. served 14 years. I don't need no DEI!

I served 10 years active duty in the United States Air Force and one of the things I really loved about that was that I never saw any racism at all. And that was back in the 80s and 90s.

I cannot follow the thinking of any of those supporting DEI. Most is emotionally driven bobbing head compliance with the Agenda to Divide even with the claim they are doing the opposite. I would suggest they instead consider “If it ain’t broke don’t fix it.” No on DEI, we’ll be just fine.

Such strength in the fact that five of them speak different languages and don't understand each other. Such strength in little Hector whose never fired a weapon before, and little Susie who could easily be overpowered by a threatening physical presence, and Ahmed and Nhung, who have experience but aren't necessarily great at what they do?" The idea that we need our military to reflect our nation's diversity, is the most dangerous and spectacularly stupid idea imaginable for a body whose SOLE purpose is to defend our nation from the bad guys! You want the strongest, the brightest, and most formidable to serve this body. PERIOD. Think of it as a sports franchise, do any of the fans give a rat's rear what their team's players look like? NO. They just want the best! So if being the best means our military is all black, all Asian, or all white, no reasonable person would have a problem with that! If that's who are best people happen to make up, that's what we want. Our enemies are laughing at us.

We've been ignoring standards for about 10 years now in the military, I just walked away after 16 years of service because I can't stomach woke culture that's taken over. I could go through a long list of issues but pretty sure everybody understands

Theres a hate thats growing against people that constantly say they are victimized in a system thats done everything for them except give them a reach around. Theres a hate in my heart against people that do all they can do to break a system thats been so good to THEM that THIS country is where EVERY refugee is trying to get to. I know im not the only one. We are constantly being pushed into a corner. Weve turned the other cheek more times than we can remember. DEI is in direct conflict with the Equal Employment Opportunity Act

I was in the Army for 22 years, and I retired in March 2022. With this being said, I believe it gives me the unique experience to speak on this matter. I want to start off by saying I believe Republicans and Democrats are both the same and different in name only. I have seen what bringing race,gender, and sexual orientation does to the Army, and it is nothing good. I have seen Soldiers disrespect leadership because they didn't want to do things, and when told to fall in with everyone else, they screamed racism, sexism, or homeopathic. Without any proof on the matter, investigations start and all because an entitled Soldier felt they shouldn't be out in the field or doing range cleanup or even missions that are too much like work. I have seen female Soldiers show up to formation looking like they are more fit to go to a nightclub rather than doing their job, and rightfully so the immediate leadership is afraid to say anything about it because they don't want to go through the embarrassment of an investigation. The Army has always been about you are not a woman, man, white, black, gay, or straight you were a Soldier. That Army has been pushed aside for an Army of individualism and fear when enforcing rules and regulations. I retired at 42 years old and with 22 years in because the new Army is a dangerous Army both in garrison and deployment, not from enemies foreign or domestic but from Soldiers who believe they are individual's, entitled, and special. I wouldn't have wanted to deploy with 60% of Soldiers today, and for that reason, I retired.
