I grew up in Palmdale back in the 50's and 60's. Joined the service from there. All I can say is if the founders and builders of Antelope Valley were still alive today and saw what it is now, they would definitely be more than disgusted and tearing it all down for a much needed complete cleanup and rebuild!! Maybe you do have the correct shooter, Maybe you don't. Continue your investigation and get the proof instead of convicting him in the press. The problem I do have with your neverending reverence of this officer is when have you ever held a press conference demonstrating remorse, regret when your officers kill an innocent civilian? The answer is never. And they have made numerous mistakes (murders) sometimes intentional murders. Because your officers know they will never be held accountable when they decide to put 30 rounds in a citizen. Don't you think the families of those innocent civilians who have been murdered by your officers deserve more than just admitting it was a terrible mistake? You centered your investigation on a car that was parked outside a home and matched the description of the wanted car. How many cars fit that description throughout the LA county area? Many thousands I would guess. And when you ran the plates and found out the owner had possesion of guns, this convinced you he's guilty? Especially when you found evidence that he may be recieving help, medication for mental problems; this was the nail in the coffin for you to declare him the shooter? And oh my God, he had several guns in his house. What does that mean? Nothing, unless you can prove he had the weapon that killed this officer. I think your entire press conference is bullsh*t Luna. You who should know the law have just broken the most important law in our society; you have convicted this person without adequate proof. You have not treated this person as innocent until proven guilty. Rather you have pronounced him guilty, announced him guilty before all America. And have made up your mind that he is guilty.
