A. Covid visa 408 was an ad-hoc arrangement to enable international students to generate income during covid. The Govt had stated this was a temporary arrangement. B. The reduced PSWV to 18 months. The students after completing a Commercial Cookery course need to undertake a Job Ready Program. This begins with a Provisional Skill Assessment (PSA) of 360 hours, followed by Job Ready Work, which requires Full time work for 12 months and then a Job workplace Skill Assessment of 6months. A rough total of 2 years +. If this duration is reduced by 6 months the dodgy students from Punjab and Haryana will not be successful as now the concurrent CoE too is shut. And if they have changed courses from HE to VET , they will be forced to reapply for visa but at this stage they will be caught and most likely deported, which is the best outcome.

Yes I was shocked 😱 when I read it on 1 st September it is now revised to 18 months . Pr 189 190 are also reduced to minimum. May be due to fake students doing multiple course

Masters to masters mai nahi lgana hota visa..or credit transfer tab milta hai when u are changing in similar course aur vo subjects dusri uni ya college k curriculum mai ho

Actually they are not wrong the issue is with students who try to find loopholes and exploit it to get the PR. Education too ek bahana hai. Oversmartness zyada time nahi chaltee atleast not in Australia.9
