In the headlines…Last night’s presidential debate was not Trump’s finest hour. On the anniversary of 9/11 the main problem with America is our implosion from within. Israel has its own problems …Former Israeli MK says Hamas still feeling able to demand the same things as on October 8th, is an abomination. Iran is still testing ballistic missiles, which may indicate another attack on Israel is still possible.
In other words, the headlines are depressing from the prospect of America and Israel. Both countries are badly hurting from within, and their immediate unknown futures are troubling.
Headline 1 Debate was not Trump’s finest hour
While Harris, who was not pressed by the moderators on the many inconsistencies in her campaign, she spent the time goading and attacking Trump. He did not do himself any favors by responding emotionally. In other words, he fell into her trap to the place that her side is calling for another debate.
For our purposes, his biggest mistake is again telling Israel that without him winning the election, their country would not exist.
One headline reads…Trump blasts Harris, ‘She hates Israel - if she’s president, I believe Israel will not exist within two years from now.’
That type of talk certainly does not sit well with the Lord. The arrogance that somehow, he can save Israel from destruction, should be seen as very troubling by believers.

The Lord has promised to take care of the nation, He has a track record of fulfilling His promises to the descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. No human being can claim to be able to do this.

If Harris is elected, and treats Israel horribly, as we suspect she will, then the Lord will have HIS way to take care of it.
We cannot stress it enough that our hope is indeed in Christ and His coming kingdom, certainly not the outcome of the coming presidential election. If Harris wins, which is possible, life will still go on, God’s Word will still be true. Do not let any event deflect you from your faith in Christ and His purposes.
Headline 2 Today is a somber anniversary of the worst day in the history of our country.
The United States is reminded of the horrors of 9/11, the shocking attack upon New York and Washington D.C. as well as the loss of over three thousand lives.
However, the problem 23 years later is that we are falling apart from within, not from without. The country will only continue to go downhill as our national behavior has not been pleasing to the Lord.

Headline 3. Former MK Einat Wilf notes an important element missing in the widespread talk of a prisoner exchange agreement.
"After the negotiations of the 90s, I started listening to the Palestinians. As Israel offered and America pressured negotiations, I noticed that the Palestinians were never really there to accept the existence of a Jewish state."
"Hamas, as an organization, has not suffered any consequences, as long as it is considered a legitimate negotiating partner. Whoever we killed, they will replace. It is an abomination that Hamas is being negotiated with - that you can kidnap people from their beds and be considered a legitimate partner."
She could not be more correct! Hamas should have never been treated as a legitimate pattern.
Headline 4 Iran tests ballistic missile launch, hinting attack on Israel still in cards
Western intelligence sources say Iran launched missiles with a range of 700 kilometers (436 miles) inside Iranian territory recently to improve their performance in the next attack on Israel after the April strike failed
With all of Israel's other problems, this is still hanging over their head.
The headlines today are somber. However, we must look to the Lord who has told us how everything will eventually work out. Therefore, we must keep our eyes on the prize!
