This is just sad. I remember my local Sears at Rego Center Mall in Queens, NY used to be PACKED. What a shame it closed in 2017. Earlier this year I attended the Sears Closing Sale in Jersey City, NJ and today I visited Sears in Braintree, MA. It was a ghost town with incredibly odd and cheap merchandise. It’s so sad what this company has turned into. Thanks Eddie Lampert.
Eddie Lampert Strikes Again. Many Other Retailers could even be a target of destruction (same state as Sears) by ESL Investments as well. This time he could mean it. If Sears could cut ties with TransformCo, terminating the merge with Kmart it would remain in business in its entirety for much longer, both physically and online
Whatever replaces it, they might only take one of the levels (most likely the upper level) and leave the other one vacant (most likely the lower level)
