Great work y'all! Keep it up! Just a note on the convo starting at 19:10 - the AHL is still a fully professional league, though it is a step below the NHL. Even the ECHL, one step below the AHL, is a professional league. There's also a waiver system, and certain players can't be sent down without passing through waivers (basically every NHL team in order of last place to first gets a chance to claim that player as long as they keep him in the NHL), so there's often a chance of losing a guy for nothing by trying to send him down. Some players are waiver exempt, if they're young and haven't played many NHL games, meaning they can just go straight down to the AHL without any risk of getting claimed. Players on one-way contracts can still get sent down to the A too, but they'll still get paid the same amount they normally would, that's what a one-way contract means. And any amount above 1.15m on a player's salary still counts towards the NHL salary cap if they're sent down. As for Tij, there's a special case with players coming from the CHL, they're not actually allowed to play in the AHL until they're 21. So Tij will likely play 9 games with Utah (any more and it burns a year of his rookie contract), and then either be good enough to stick in the NHL full time (somewhat unlikely even though he's a great player), or get sent back to the Kelowna Rockets to dominate the junior league for another year. Either way, I expect he'll be a great player for Utah for many years to come.

I think D is cool, but we have a lot of cap space and we need to sign some veteran goal scorers.
