@@BeardedTeslaGuy well I'm down the list a ways so I'm fairly confident the credit will available by the time I get there. I hope they don't contact me too soon
@BeardedTeslaGuy: 318* mile range for the Foundation Series (AWD) because it uses the "all terrain" (AKA off-road) tires (less efficient). 325 mile range for the production variant (AWD) because it uses the "all season" (AKA street) tires. *They must have revised the estimate EPA range that previously said 318/340, now 314/325 miles.
They took off the $4000 credit for the install of the backup, This means people that got foundation series before May 22n 2024 got the full value of the foundation, those that got it after got jipped. Tesla should give $4000.00 install credit to all the people that got foundation series for the home back up install. Also you forgot the light bar.
Update: I am 116,468 in line and was able to configure today (10/5). The site included the federal credit but I don't see it reflected on my "invoice" yet. I also don't have a delivery estimate yet. I still don't know if I can afford it or if my wife will consent but I tossed in the $250 order fee in the hope I can figure out the rest later. By the way, my checkout included a $7000 price for FSD.
that "federal credit" reflected was the commercial credit, which all EV's qualify for. You have to be purchasing for a business to get that commercial credit, and its at time of filing your business taxes, not point of sale
My guess is dual motor and cyberbeast will eventually get a range unlock of around 120kms(ish) making dual motpr 420 miles and cyberbeast 690 miles 😂 Great news. I'm a few years away yet for my CT reservation. Came very late to the party, but hoping cost will be cut by the time i take order 🙏
Hey big guy - reason for the mileage changes is due to new Dry Cathode testing at Giga Texas - check out previous video from Joe Tegmeyer who explained it. More than likely, non-Foundation will have this type of 4680 batteries.
Im in the 250k range just past the first week order of the beast with FSD. Im not looking for my confirmation till into next year , I hope they get all the bugs worked out. I haven't minded waiting at all had some cash so picked up a brand new highland M3P to pacify my need for speed in the mean time. keep it up man love the content.
@@BeardedTeslaGuy I got my invite two days ago at 5:15 pm didnt see it till yesterday so I ordered it immediately. The beast with FSD should deliver end of month or sometime in Nov according to response.
Just received the invite a placed an order but I’d rather lose the 250 order fee than miss out on the tax credit. Maybe I’ll just keep pushing delivery when it happens
@@BeardedTeslaGuy ok I thought that was exclusive to FS. Thanks for the clarification. Still happy with my FS purchase. It wasn’t as much of a premium as initially expected.
well, I dont think there will ever be a point of sale rebate. Once the tax credit is certified for CT, you'll be able to get it at time of sale if you qualify
I'm going to wait for a few reasons. First, our Model Y isn't paid off yet, and I don't want two payments. Second, the $7500 at point of sale is pretty considerable. Third, if the new Model Y looks incredible, I may just get one of those instead, as the dogs fit great in the one we have now, and after all, they are our kids.
I think it's just the last push for peeps to grab a Foundation. It'll be approved soon I'm sure. Foundation is still the only option on the Canadian site (us and Mexico just got our first deliveries, so I'm sure they will leave it like that for a bit)
Day 1 ordered, trimotor for initial price sure. Foundation series offered last January, nope. Neighbor got his and was OK but issues with his. Not paying that much so I got a Rivian R1S quad, 2 year lease and see where things are in 2026. Loving my Rivian more though, neighbor as well. Storage, car camping and premium interior won me over. My get a CT at end of year for business write off with 60% depreciation and wrap it with my business.
Maybe in a decade I’ll consider upgrading from my model Y to a pre-owned cybertruck, for now, even the rumored future 60K base truck is outside my budget, so I’ll get my cybertruck fix vicariously through you and other excellent masters of media.
Makes me wonder what they anticipate the conversation rate on reservations to be. I'm betting around 10% $20k more and less range than what it was when people originally reserved it.
Current Tesla owners with Cybertruck reservation can order from the website and will not get the invite email. Also get lifetime premium connective rather than the $1000 FSD discount.
I reserved for the dual motor $79.9K version but got the invite for Foundation Series but ignored it. So will I be still on the wait list for for the non-Foundation Series still?
There is one other thing you forgot to mention also. The foundation series also the large light bar that come all foundation series. Cybertruck does not have fog lights.
tough call. they are both currently about 4-5k cost difference factoring in all the add ons of FS. that said, once all foundation series trucks are sold, I would imagine we will see Tesla then submitting VIN's to the IRS for tax credits...
This is what I calculated, may be wrong…. FS Included $8000 FSD $40 center tray $295. Rubber mats $580 universal connector $1800 PowerShare $25 bottle opener $115. Sunshade $25. L track hoops $40. D ring $40 D ring $45 gear locker divider $50. J1772 adapter $250 mobile connector $800 8 years permium connectivity $3500 Tires $2000 White package ------- $17,605 Minus $1K FSD discount
The range difference is based on lighter or smaller wheels. Smaller wheels extends the range. Just watch the Electric Viking, as he describes it often.
To think, Canadians have been waiting till now................................................................................................................. P.S. Celine Dion do your thing ;) P.P.S. "it's been 84 years..."
What happens if I wait and DONT configure? Price and specs are not what they promised 5 years ago..and no EV tax credit. Last I checked, I was 318,000 down on the list. Have that many people backed out? 🤨
How quickly things change on the tesla site. Today you can configure a dual motor CT on the website for 94,490, choice of wheels and choice of interior
I used to publish the moment these videos were done uploading, but unfortunately YT sees a dropping view count and basically kills them before people wake up, so now I am regimented on breaking videos...8 am next day
Cheap, and smart people are waiting for them. It isn't because of DEMAND ISSUE. Watch the increased production of Cybertruck this Quarter and the next as cheaper Cybertrucks are sold.
@@1flash3571 "foundation series" is a markup and jump the line of reservation holders. Demand for the cyber truck with all features included at 99,900$ did dry up. If the demand is now only buyers who value it at 79k plus whatever added options, then that is the current lower level of demand.
dude, every founders/foundation/first edition Tesla has been about 1k units. CT was able to keep pumping the premium for 30k units...in what world is that a failure?
@@BeardedTeslaGuy read closer. Who said anything was a failure. I said demand of people paying 100k for cyber truck has dried up. Selling the cyber truck for 100k is better for tesla the company than selling the cyber truck for 80k. All I said is it's dumb to celebrate tesla no longer selling them at 100k. I get yay if you want to buy one cheaper, but most viewers and youtubers are reporting and interested in tesla the company saying yay, they stopped selling foundation series.
Yup $1500-1800 per month. Which is insane considering it’s an electric vehicle. That’s 2,000 a month just drive a car and charge. So much for efficiency and saving
@@BeardedTeslaGuy the only way to justify it is if they made it so it's attached you your account so any Tesla you drive will have it for life. It shouldn't be attached to a car. It is a software feature not hardware. Only then is a flat fee makes sense. I feel like Elon keeps using it to entice early fsd adopters into buying a new car.
Great channel. Was wondering if it is possible to buy a Model Y and take delivery at the Giga Texas facility, kind of like you can say for a Volvo, on a trip to Sweden, under their Tourist & Diplomat program. The basic idea is to fly there to Austin area, go pick up a fresh Model Y and then tour the Giga Texas plant (if possible) and then drive down and see SpaceX in Boca Chica, etc and then drive home. Seems like you could avoid the delivery fees as a side benefit. Anyone know if this is possible?
@@BeardedTeslaGuy just got my reservation request but really want to know more about the possibility of the tax credit first. Was counting on that discount.
I am a 319,000 in line and I already got my invite to configure. I definitely would need the $7500 upfront. However, I’m going to hold off because my family’s been devastated by the inflation caused by the Biden/Harris administration. Maybe I’ll get one someday….😕
I question the veracity of this reply. My reservation number is 116,468 and I have not gotten an invite. I really don’t think this person got an invite for the non-Foundation truck yet.
@@RamonSelove You know what. I just double checked on you’re right. I’m an idiot. It was just an email from cyber truck owners club notifying me about the price drop. 🙄 sorry for the mistake.
Don’t think Biden is to blame for the inflation. It is happening world wide. It is the consequences of pandemic. But on the other hand the Biden’s IRA is practically giving you 7.5K back and it is bringing the new technology jobs back to US. If Trump gets elected, that price cut on EVs will be gone. There are few things Dems are doing right!
who really purchases accessories from Tesla lol, Personally the FSD should only get cheaper, guys its freaking software, I will buy it when it costs $200 and actually works. If it never gets to the price guess what, i don't need that crap anyway. The only accessory to think about its the cyber wheels but getting the tax credit is worth ALOT more than freaking wheels.
