BREAKING OPEN the Artifact Strongbox | Genshin Impact Polearms Only 

I have an anecdote as to why people might be leveling his burst first. Back in 1.3, two of my friends and I had recently gotten Xiao and were questioning what to level. Keep in mind this is really early into the game and Xiao is new, conventional knowledge is not yet established. We looked and noticed that he deals less damage to himself per second when you level up his burst a few times, so the first thing we leveled was his burst for that reason. Not to mention I was the only one within my group that had a good healer and a a shielder for when I played alone. My friends needed the slight cushion of taking less damage per second to ensure that Xiao survived. TLDR; it was a different time and I feel like it’s safe to guess people really like safety. Wouldn’t be surprised if that safety first premise applied to casual players looking forward to his reruns.

maybe one day they release a CC polearm unit! they already have catalyst (Sucrose) sword (Kazuha) and bow (Venti and in a way Faruzan) so maybe one day we get a polearm as well

@@Kekvin Don't read this if you don't want leaks In 3.4, Yaoyao is said to be coming out as a 4 star dendro polearm, maybe she'll make use of that EM sands as an off piece

@@xee_fuel8392 it's been proven multiple times that his normal attack is more important because everytime you level your normal attack your plunging dmg multipliers increase

it’s better to go atk sands and run him with a healer (possibly yao yao) rather than a hp sands since he doesn’t scale on hp in any way but the hp sands is still good as it could be used on zhongli and hutao and hutao is coming in the next patch

@@bavannaa ah I see. Thank you and apologies ^^' my friend uses a hp sands for their Xiao and they said it was good for him so I was taking their word for it

Thats not good advice, Xiao is a hypercarry DPS so he wants to do as much damage as possible, hence why ATK% sands is the only good option for him.
