I'm a huge fan of the Pakistani military they are focused precise consistent and battle tested. Back during the 90s they were just dragging their feet things were not looking good for them from equipment standpoint there was this Pressler amendment that hit them hard but then they recovered pulled right out of that yoghurt that their democracy had filled them into they got the JF17 program connected to their operational doctrine it was a well-planned project that culminated on the block 3 now they're gone to j10 j31 other 5th generation fighter program from collaborative platforms and have hit a trifecta in the last few years where they had all their enemies pounded with precision after strikes were initiated against Pakistani territory. good job done guys.
As a Chinese, I sincerely wish my Pakistani brothers, but due to technology transfer, the current Pakistani industry cannot achieve self production. Even if you are given the technology, you cannot achieve full industry chain production. For example, in the current technology war between China and the United States, for chips, one chip involves thousands of industries. As the country with the most complete global industrial chain, China has only broken through to 7 nanometers. You need to officially develop your own economy. Perhaps you can produce ordinary jet planes, but the road to producing fifth generation aircraft is still far, my brothers

As an Indian I feel Pakistan Air Force is much more resourceful than Indian Air Force . Total budget of Indian Air Force is 2-3 times Pakistan’s total defence budget yet Pakistan evenly balances Indian Air Force . This is because of swift decision making and planning . Western fighter jets are costlier as compared to Chinese or Russian jets. Instead of 36 Rafale India could have got 100 Su-35 or Mig-35 or Su-57 .

India spends more of its budget on infrastructure, health and education. Whereas Pakistan spends most of its budget on military equipment. India wants to become self-reliant in the defense sector and hence is spending more money on research and development. They have been successful in many areas, while Pakistan is buying military equipment from China by taking loan from IMF.

Proud of P.A.F. acquisition I was critical of the j 10 c acquisition but this is something to count on as it will open realms of twin-engine fighter jet options to P.A.F. In the future, it will help develop single-engine stealth fighters for P.A.F.

I have earlier mention this on "x" kahan and f31 will be used a stestbed in term of stealth, engine etc for azm project. It's a good move. Present day j 10c and jf 17 iii r the prime example both supplement each other in war scenario.
Its a mistake. PAF needs J20, not J31, Thats what Chinese Air Officer was trying to say. PAF should make J10c its backbone, then 2 to 3 squadrons of J20 for Air superiority to counter Rafael, This way China will improve J17 massively. For now, PAF should match every new J10 Squadron with J20.
@@tasmeeturrehmankhan3928 , India is going increase Rafael probably over 100, J31 may have low operating cost, but you will need large numbers to counter Rafael. Double engines in large numbers is not fit for purpose for Pakistan. J20 in two to three squadrons will do the trick.

J31 is also twin engines but not good enough to counter Rafael’s wide range capabilities especially satellite guided precision targeting, which makes Pakistan’s all military assets vulnerable. Yes, J20 can restore conventional balance even in small numbers. For same job, PAF will need large numbers of J31, costly and still not good enough. Just my two pence
Pakistan should keep an eye on the developments in the stealth aircraft field but for the time being, there is no urgency to induct such an aircraft. With induction of AMRAAM, air to air has been mostly taken care of, although AIM-9X/ASRAAM/IRIST class WVR missile is also needed. A dedicated anti-helicopter/anti-drone platform would be a good addition to the force. For air to ground missions, we need more targeting pods like that of Sniper or Litening. Turkish Aselpod needs to be tested in battlefield conditions and if found suitable, it should be integrated with JF-17 fleet. The important thing is that it should have a laser ranger and laser spot tracker for close air support to ground units, FLIR for night operations and laser designator for laser guided bombs/missiles. Other air to ground missions are interdiction, SEAD, counter-air for which Mirages and F-16 are good candidates and J-10C needs to be tested in this role. J-10C would need anti-runway and bunker buster munitions for counter-air role. Then is the air to sea or anti-ship capability for which Mirage-5 with Exocet is almost nearing retirement age. JF-17 is shown with C802 missile but its test launch has not been made public in a live-fire exercise. Laser guided missiles like the AS30L can also be used in anti-ship/missile boat role but we have not heard of any air to ground laser-guided missile in PAF inventory. In short, we should first take care of conventional capabilities. In the same vein, Suppression of Enemy Air Defences (SEAD) should also be given due attention. Merely adding fighter platforms is not the solution. Anti-radiation missiles, preferrably the new variants of US AGM-88 HARM should be acquired. This SEAD mission can be flown by F-16C Block 52 whose meager numbers, being just 18, needs to be beefed up. If funds allow, at least another 18 of these jets should be inducted. They can be second-hand, from US surplus or new, if the funds allow. 18 F-16Cs remind us of the small numbers of F-104A fighters in 1965 and 1971 wars. They were just 12 and there was no margin for attrition in war times or during training. It is also noteworthy that the latest stealth aircraft from USA is a bomber, not fighter. In the first Gulf war, it was a stealth attack aircraft, the F-117 that did the initial strikes on Command and Control facilities. F-35 is also a multi-role stealth aircraft and therefore is being acquired by several countries.
Pak armed forces need to focus on the job they are paid to do by people of Pakistan (civilians). They supposed to serve the people paying their bills but instead they run every aspect of Pakistani society for Washington DC. Sad 😞

It's absolutely possible. Five years ago, I read about it. China wants Pakistan to use J10c , then later J20 or J31 will be able to acquire it. Not sure what the strategy was at that time.

Waste 🗑 of money 💰. Buy Kaan or J20 because The J-20 is faster than the F-35 but the Lightning II has lower radar cross-section. The J-20 does not have a cannon which could mean that designers were not envisioning it as a dogfighting machine. The F-35 is lighter, which may give it an edge in aerial combat.🎉❤

We only have about 2 Dozen latest(Not effectively latest because lastest are block 70/72 Viper) F16s block 50/52. The rest of them are of block 10-20(not sure) of the 80's era and despite their midlife upgrade they're still pretty much old aircraft(Like they don't have EASA readers etc )until the US allows us to upgrade them to block 50/52 at least.
@@randomgameplay511F16's are still the most effective fighter aircraft till date. Even the US Air force still uses them and is the widely used fighter Aircraft around the world. But the problem is that the US doesn't allow Pakistan major upgradation..
@@saimsajid5154 J31 induction clearly shows PAF opted to go for 5th Gen rather than going for V upgrades for current F16s fleet I believe older Mlus & blk52 will serve as 2nd line of defence until spares are available also opting 5th Gen rather legacy new F16s makes perfect sense for PAF new age new techs new jets also Chinese jets are pretty much at par with Western counterparts But still believe 18 new blk 52s if V upgrades are available PAF should go for it & look used blk 52s atlaest 18 more for V upgrades 36 V along old Mlus mix is still decent way to keep them
