Ben, epic flight and so cool to see the team flying in action. After watching so many of your videos the place names are starting to sound familiar. Thank you for that part of the narration.
So much memories in this part of southern island. I remeber Pakituhi Hut was the first hut I ever slept in in NZ. Back in France now I'm starting to fly. I really hope I will be able to come back in your beautiful country hiking and flying this time. Thanks for these beautiful videos, there very well done, brings me lot of nostalgia ! Wish you the best fligths !
Wow. That was an amazing flight you guys had. Thank you so much for taking us along for the ride. You guys have come a long way in your flying and knowledge in this region now compared to a couple of years ago. It's so great to see this come together in a flight like this. Have fun in Northern Hemisphere....
I *love* the Ahuriri Valley. As a sailplane pilot very familiar with the Macenzie Basin and a still beginner paraglider I loved this video. I hope to someday do in a paraglider what I do in a sailplane, what you guys are doing here is inspiring. Great flights!
Thanks mate!! Hey question for you, with that SW about 15knts you think that easterly cloud on the Thumbs was converging? You think it would've been possible to fly the side of it to continue N?
Another masterpiece by you Ben. Both: The flight and the documentation! Best greetings from austria, come visit us, season is just starting over here! 😊
With the MBZ, if you are flying in "formation" one pilot can do the broadcast for your group, just include in the call how many there are of you. I presume that particular MBZ is local traffic only and there is no controller/information. You are more likely to get into trouble dropping f-bombs and c-bombs on the radio. ;-)
Haha awesome thanks mate, yeah we considered it but thought it wasn't worth the risk for the sake of Julia loosing the record if we got separated... Kinga had hers taken off her for not being licensed.
I've been checking and watching your channel for so long...simply awesome. question...I have a glider license for now like 6 years...but I'm looking to switch to a paragliding license...does it worth it? How would a transition from Glider to paraglider be? greetings from Slovenia :) keep going
Ahh cool!! Yeah well I guess you will have a big advantage because you will already understand some of the technical weather stuff and how thermaling works. How ever there's still a lot of glider flying skills you'll need to learn, how to launch, land, decent techniques etc. Should be fast learning for you though!
@@BenjaminKellett Thanks for all the info, Benjamin...I will definitely visit some of the opening days of one of the paragliding clubs and will take a closer look of this beautiful sport :) Thanks, and many safe and high flights :)
A shame Queenstown has become impoverished and problenatic with homelessness since the Scamdemic lockdowns. Toxic chemtrail clouds are a hazard for your passtime, not so much real clouds, Ben.
