12:40 i love how shogun 2 decides which victory you have - 3000 vs 9000 and you barely make it - costly victory, 3000 vs 200 and you lost no one - decisive victory, defensive siege 500 vs 1000 rebels and they rout before any real fight - heroic victory...
Or you defend with 2 yari one bow and retainers against like 1200 and you barely win its like "pyhric victory" how? I just pulled a leprechaun out of my ass and you call that pyhric?
@@dishonorable_daimyo1498I think that's because the game factors in ammunition heavily when determining the strength of ranged units. Firing all of your ammunition expends a lot of your unit's strength because almost all ranged units except for heroes and tercios suck in melee. The game considers that your army lost too much of its power in the battle to grant you a heroic victory, even if you didn't actually take any casualties.
While good on you this could have easily been a decisive victory with better casualties if you fought under the archer range of the walls, basically you gave up a source of damage and morale shock and caused yourself to have lower local power.
