Service guys like us have to get food stamps while congress takes 2 week paid leave every month because they want to keep delaying the bill. Useless lot.
The whole military has to follow a page from the marines and cut down a lot of wasted funds and pass an audit to see where their money is going accurately to see where they can go from there
It's about damn time lol. As soon as we struggled with retention I knew funding would get cut more and more. When branches started changing their doctrine, scuttling plans, I knew we were close to chaos. So damn glad I'm out and don't have to deal with this, but I feel bad for all of the huge changes that are about to effect our service members
This could happen to any country just due to the sudden operations going on in the Middle East they are having to spend more money than they had predicted and been allocated for that year so money that was originally meant for research in now for ammunition and fuel etc and then you no longer are getting new tech for your military.
It's more obvious than ever that we need a big military. It's easy to sit back at the continental us and think we don't need a large and effective military.
how the FUCK can they run out of money with the fucking budget they get?! I swear, that money would change lifes if put into homeless programs and education aswell as universal (/GOOD) healthcare
@@greyfox78569 what do you mean if we had no military this country would be run by cartels or russia/china look at Mexico for example they don’t have a strong military and are run by cartels
@@Vengeance4308 And? Why should most of the taxes go wasted (as seen here) on military funding, instead of actually bettering conditions in your own country. As it stands, the USA is barely to be considered "first world", if at all, anymore due to the politicians neglecting their population.
@@KhaziirEverflight I live in America what are you talking about it’s a great country universal healthcare doesn’t work homeless people could get jobs education doesn’t educate maybe more job programs but the military provides a lot of jobs
What about all that money that was supposed to flow back to the military industrial complex by funding Ukraine? Or maybe we stop expanding American imperialism and get some money back in the hands of citizens?
most of what Ukraine gets is physical material a lot of which was going to expire or get replaced during the 2025-2030 overhaul. Plus most of it is loaned not just given for free they will be expected to pay back over time what we spent on them. not to mention it gives us valuable intel on how our equipment works in real combat and potential weaknesses we never considered. not to mention denying Russia land, We are not friends with Russia do we really want them getting stronger and stronger.
Haha, keep the budget cuts coming. When my ETS hits, it's either a fat reenlistment to put up with this BS or I'll gladly take my honorable discharge DD214
How about bringing most of our troops home. That would have to be cheaper. Besides we are being invaded and the troops at the border would help a whole bunch.
The contract was always that the civilian population feeds and supports the military and the military shapes the world for the civilian government. If there are too many shutdowns, too many budgets don’t pass, then that contract may not exist anymore. After that, we will discover that force is the one thing you cannot externally regulate, because what can enforce rules on force? A new age of imperial conquest will dawn.
Lol you mean we are focing the army to spnd there money im not sure how thats a bad thing. We shoupdbt have to keep increasing our budget for them and giving them money
