Hello Family....I totally agree with Imani and Jamal, she does owe an explanation to the subscribers. She doesn't need to go into details but I watched the channel because of the two of them and when he wasn't there anymore I was concerned. I never commented anything about it because after not seeing him and she just totally stopped talking about him, it was obvious to me. Some people may have commented out of concern, and others probably were rude. I feel everyone is entitled to their own privacy. Jarretta, may I use you as an example? A few years ago when you and Sam had that devastating loss ( I'm sorry) and you lost the baby, you came back to the channel and stated why there hadn't been any videos and why you'd been gone. Did you owe us details, NO. I prayed for both of you, I hurt for you and I felt so much compassion for you. You were so raw and honest, even though you didn't have to be. You were open and honest. I think people just wanted her to be honest, say something, and not act like he was never there, she just stopped talking about him. I think she only stated there was a shift in the family, after people started asking about him, never being in the videos anymore. I prayed for them also. Whenever you make your channel about family and you bring us into that dynamic and then the person is gone, I wouldn't say that we are being nosey, and you must remember we get used to you guys, so it's sad when you don't see that person anymore.
Good point, Cecelia, and I absolutely agree. We have invited our audiences into our lives to a certain extent. Not all, but most of my subscribers are here because they are interested in the dynamics of our relationship/family. We've invited you all into that space. As we share our lives you all experience the ups and downs, joys, and triumphs. You grow to love our family members. Understandably so, you share a level of our joy and pain. Most subscribers love our family and are genuinely concerned. Certainly, my youtube family would want a direct answer if Sam was no longer going to be in the vlogs for whatever reason. The topic of this video was very serious. I do think the audience do deserve some type of explanation when the channel that they are subscribed to is no longer there or if the couple who started the channel has separated or divorced. I like to watch them because they seemed to be a happy family and how they organise themselves. It was so obvious that the husband became missing and I then I was wondering what happened because I really liked him. He was so caring.
I know exactly what couple your speaking of I too was a follower of that family. Imo I think some sort of a more explanation could have been made considering that after a few videos later she just stopped vlogging all together. There's no shame in divorce or shouldn't be. No need to go in detail but just come out with it and move on. In this case I think a lot was issues with his own family in another state. Stay strong and blessed.

It’s very sad when people go through a separation or divorce. In saying that, I believe because you’ve built a channel out of family life, you do owe an answer. Doesn’t need to be in detail, but a simple explanation of “we’ve decided for personal reasons, we’re divorcing. And because it’s personal, we would ask our friends that follow us to please let us keep this private with our family”. That would be a proper example. It doesn’t give any detail, but it doesn’t leave dedicated followers hanging! Just my opinion. And this is a great discussion. Thank You for doing this.
My thoughts on this issue is, when one put their lives on RU-vid and things happen, A simplified answer should be given without going into full blown details. Afterall your audience is the one that made your channel successful!!!

I followed the family that you are speaking of. Early on viewers were noticing some signs and started calling her out on some things. She blocked them. I believe she didn’t value her husband enough and made no attempts to truly bond with his family out of state.
I unsubscribed when she started blocking ppl who didn't agree with her or called her on things. She tried to come off as so mature and wise but clearly had issues. I think she felt superior to him and that she was a total babe. I got vibes of I can do better or hubby wasn't enough for her. Low key conceited.

If you change what you’ve been delivering to your subscribers , they’d naturally want to know why as well as if they may laugh or cry with you like they’ve gotten used to doing, like you’ve permitted them to. A detailed explanation is not required but addressing the issue is better than just suddenly turning on subscribers when YOU begged them to subscribe and get interested in your business!

I subscribed to that channel and watched a text book narcissist, manipulate her audience and the man she married. The channel was never about a marriage, but about her need to satisfy her ego. I never expected her to explain the inevitable. A egotistical person like that, believing they are perfect will never explain. The family dynamic was a smoke screen for self promotion. Her personal goals were more important than any marriage. People's expectations were in error. Don't hate the player, hate the game. Never have expectations in people you don't really know.
Lorraine Washington you hit the nail on the head! I always felt the wife was a narcissistic egotistical nightmare. The husband was just a character in the whole charade and debacle. I always felt she had an agenda to get rid of him once she reached the goal of self promotion. I've been away from RU-vid for a couple months and when I returned he was gone with no explanation. Well she and her lovely family lost me as an audience. I wish them all well but I'll never watch them again. This couple here appears to be more wholesome, loving, cohesiveness and genuine and they too have a beautiful family.
If your content changes, your subscribers deserve some kind of information as to why there is a shift in the content. They may not have to go into explicit details but yes there has to be some kind of explanation. If you leave people hanging with questions or confusion then yes they may possibly lose subscribers.
I agree with Emani...I think that instead of all your business out there why not just say...something along the lines of " I know you guys are use to seeing that person however..we have decided that this time that person has opted not to film" atleast address it....don't act like your all shocked when people start asking questions especially when you have built your channel as a couple.No its not everyone's business to know the particulars. ...who did what and to whom..but atleast say Something....when the people have been watching for a while then it kinda feels like an abandonment...js
When you put your life out there, you owe your subs some form of explanation without going into the nitty gritty details of the whole situation. I think she should have offered a simple but clearer statement and then asked to take a break in order to sort out her personal issues. That would have sufficed!
I have watched three interracial marriage get a divorce but they kept it real decent on RU-vid, and the one was Nikki and jamie and I still watched them both
I noticed that too she did not never say why they separated because when I figure out they wasn't together anymore I was so shocked because I thought he was a sweetest person ever I thought they were sweet together even when they went on their little outings and vacations together even with their adult children but then he used to go on his vacations a lot to go back home to visit I often worry why he kept going back home to visit so often but after that is when I found out they wasn't together no more and I was shocked and I'm still very shocked especially after they bought that new home it was beautiful just saying

So, if the contents remains the same without the actors, per se will only be a question for some. Just continue with the contents, over time will be just fine. As with any channel.. if what you're saying doesn't work for the audiences. They will move on. Not every personal thing about your lives is recordable outside your personal lives. So. I agree with Sam. These die hards that had the gall to involve themselves in a place they weren't invited is, UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!
I know the person you are speaking of and yes I think if she had been a little more personable with her media family, I believe we and I say we because I was one of them would have shown her a lot more compassion and most of all understanding and I stop watching because her content became unreasonable and I lost interest. I feel that if the platform is changing, an explanation is needed. However, personal details are not needed. To be honest I like when my favorite RU-vidrs show different things... I love seeing you & Sam on your date nights and absolutely loved seeing your closet makeover....One of my favorites rates crochet hair, but will give a tour of her hometown. Bottomline - its all about the personality!!!
I agree with your hubby. Your life, your channel and you decide what to reveal at the end of day your subscribers can be your support system. Subscribers also get used to seeing you as couple and they get curious. How much you want to reveal is by choice you don't have to answer all their questions nobody does. Subscribers understand if you don't want to share every detail about painful situation, say as little as possible until you yourself have figured out what's going on. Danger of saying something you will regret or sharing something that could be used against you he needs to stress that to your viewers.
Her name is Toni Daily and she had the to thin own self be true and she was very open about her truth and was able to move on to the next steps of her journey and I still watch her because she gave good strong emotional strength to her fan base, hats off to Toni because if I would go through something like that I would certainly use some of her stuff

I was a subscriber of that family, but I felt like the family dynamic changed so abruptly without real explanation that it was no longer for me 😔. They deserve their privacy, but I think they should have handled it a different way if they were going to change the family. Maybe they could have made an announcement that they're going to be taking a break of a couple of months or so and work there personal part out and then came back and said our channel has changed this is what's going to be happening from now on. I felt like I was being told shut up and eat it, that's the way it's going to be, because I say so..

It's upsetting to me,. I would want to know why they divorce. What ever happened to their joyful promise to love your spouse forever. No one said marriage is easy.. I think couples use separation and divorce not to work on their marriage. Unless their is emotional, physical abuse or one cheated on the other. In that case they should divorce.

She is so beautiful. I think some people are shakier than they look. I don't think its too good for some people to have their life on youtube. I was shocked when Niki and Jamie broke up, everybody blamed him, but I had a feeling she just wasn't happy. I truly believe Jamie loved Niki, and I think he still does. I think its tough to have any relationship featured as a main focus. BUT I must say y'all have a wonderful marriage, beautiful children, and I love y'all so much. I was married and divorced, I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy. I love black women, and I'm a white man, it makes me feel like its possible that a black woman could love a white guy, and I know they can, and have a wonderful happy marriage and children. I am fairly new to your channel. I am a Black woman. I have many White and mixed family members. I love observing White and Black couples and their children show love, respect and kindness to each other. Additionally, I love to see them not let the ignorant, racist actions and comments of the stuck on stupid ignorant people get into their head to make them behave in different toward each other. I love how Sam still give his adult children a loving hug and they do the same with him. That is the way it should be. Sam clearly shows he loves and care about Jamal, Jamoni and his other adult children. Just like he loves his small biological children. To Sam: you are a good person, father and husband. I'm very aware of the type of media I take in, so my personal take on it is that because we are all human and it takes time to process big changes I allow those I'm subscribed to to inform me (as their viewer) of personal info/changes as and when they feel ready. I choose the creators I subscribe to deliberately in order to not be consumed by messy and trifling content. Sometimes during major shifts in our lives it takes some time to be able to discuss it without being petty or hurtful. I appreciate those who take the time (no matter how much) to gather their thoughts properly before bringing certain topics to the forefront of their channel.

The varied ways in which RU-vidrs handle channel shifts sparked an interesting debate with me, Sam, and my two eldest kids. The question we debated was when a RU-vidr's primary content is showcasing their relationship, should their audience have a reasonable expectation for transparency when there is a shift? Yes, When you ask she will either block you or erase the comment. I feel she's VERY non-conscious of her selfishness. She also played the Click-Bait thing and NEVER really "cared" to answer the questions but she put out little videos that eluded to an issue that felt like a silly puzzle or game. Her kids are talented and so was he and for him to just disappear was unfair and is worth some sort of explanation. We want to know if Phillip is well is he ok??? I mean basic B-C class famous take the time to at least create or put out press releases when they break-up with someone. They are arent even married to. To me, it's just respect. We don't need details but we deserve her to put her "big girl" panties on and say we're separated or we are getting a divorce or even we are working through our issues. He's currently not comfortable in the home or he moved out. We don't need the BIG deets but yes. We deserve SOMETHING! I watched EVERY VIDEO She put out...and for her to act nonchalant even crasp or curt and say " I'll share when I'm good and ready" to me has no integrity attached to her intention on the channel seemed to be less transparent as she seemingly reared the channel when he was there. By the way, she shared really private things about her life previously...so why NOw is mum the way to go? ...I think her choice is wrapped in some guilt and shame. When he kissed her she didn't really seem "into" him...and now she and her kids are on Social Media now with tictok videos like nothing happened...to me she will lose subscribers. He was integral to the channel. If you watched you know he carried her financially, she got her degree, and BOOM now he's gone...he bought houses helped her create her business I mean dang! She certainly owes her audience something! I was nice when I asked once and never did again. she just erased my comment without a word..THE NERVE! but I watched EVERY VIDEO that GREYED ACRES put out because I enjoyed the dynamic. say something!!!!

You do deserve an answer within reason. We have invited you all into our lives, and relationship. We understand that our subscribers grow to love us individually and as a family. If there is a major shift in our family dynamic, naturally, people will wonder, especially if the 'missing person' was an integral part of the content we shared/capitalized off of. If Sam went missing, I would expect my subscribers to ask questions. I believe most of my RU-vid family would have a genuine concern. Our subscribers love and support us. They experience our ups and downs, joys, sorrows, and triumphs. To some extent, they also experience our pain. We are a community, interacting in a RU-vidr/ subscriber relationship. Like most relationships, there is mutual respect on both sides. Subscribers should respect the boundaries and the privacy of RU-vidrs. At the same time, a RU-vidr should respect their audience. As much as we want our privacy respected, we have to remember that we chose to invite you into that space. We are not forced to showcase the dynamics of our relationships with our spouses. We could have chosen to go in a different direction, choosing the focal point of our channel to be makeup, cars, sports, etc. Instead, we decided to let you all into the dynamics of our relationship and family. When it comes to 'business,' one of the main things that separate my neighbor's marital relationship from my relationship, is that they did not make a conscious decision to showcase the dynamics of their family or relationship on RU-vid like I did. I said that to say, when it comes to the 'business,' there are no victims here. We solicited your views and asked you to subscribe to see more of our content. We, as RU-vidrs are well aware of the chance we take when we decide to invite the world to peer in on our personal relationship. Like you said, sometimes things change, and that's ok. It is a part of life. Life goes on. With that being said, the unique element would be how the RU-vidr handles/addresses the shift as it pertains to their audience. In all actuality, we really don't know if there has been a breakup or divorce. Though she hinted at it, she never specifically said they were separated or divorcing. My opinion if your channel is based on your interracial relationship your viewers should know why you're no longer an item at some point and time only because you invited us in your life. We are only watching because were interested in your life I'm not saying you have to tell us everything but don't leave us hanging either remember people came to watch your channel because of your relationship/family.
Hi guys. I take on this topic is.....most interracial and blended u-tubers you put yourself out there for and family out there for a lot of opinions from people period. The times we live in, we still act like PEOPLE can't just be PEOPLE and not a color. I suggest that drop the words blended and interracial in your title and just how loving couple lives and manages their family. Also, please stop comparing yourself to other couples talking all around there life dropping names. Everyone don't have to share everything about their life. Your content is what you care to put out. No, I don't think that was enough.... However, I enjoyed them as a family I just stop watching. But I did not like the way she left us hanging. BUT he was my favorite player. I just watched her because I thought she was so pretty. BUT with she and the kids it's boring to me. Whose the RU-vidr they’re referring to? At first I thought they were talking about Greyed Acres now they are called The AmpedHouse. She always used her titles as click bate but never explained what happened to her husband from Tennessee. We do deserve an explanation especially when they initially put their family out there as a couple to capitalize off of their family dynamic. It doesn’t have to be in details just acknowledge what happened.
It is true that You Tubers have a right to privacy , but as said the page was based on that relationship, and not only was the husband gone there appeared a New Male and there was content with him as the Matter, which was strange to me . But I used common sense and figured it out....but the Channel ( and I know😉) I really liked the relationship between the husband and wife , and sorry they didn't work out but also perhaps they married too soon, because if I'm not mistaken they met off of a dating site and cliqued right away.... I believe I know which family that you are referring to. I love her and her family. Just like a few people have said here, I believe that an explanation should be made to the subscribers, but I think that she should just let her subscribers know that something has shifted however if she felt that she would like to take some time get through what it is that they are going through to heal, then she can discuss it with her subscribers at a later date. There is another vlogger that had gone through something similar on her channel, she is a younger woman who was in an IR marriage, (she is biracial) they had no children together however, she started her channel with her husband in her vlogs and after a period of time, he was no longer featured. She finally came out to her subscribers and explained that they were no longer together and that she didn't feel like discussing in detail the specifics and if she felt so, she would share later. She did share about a year or so later because she felt that she had healed from it all.
Like your kids said.... You used the audience to gain views, then you should not be rude about their concerns. Yes, I think they deserve some type of explanation....
I believe they stopped the U tube channel after the last statement she gave about the shift and sold out everything in the store. I believe if the channel returns then further explanations maybe needed.
No one really needs to give every detail. To keep it respectful, to both persons, a general blanket announcement is okay . To want every single detail is just too much.
