I live in Reno NV. I watched Musselman for 4 years. The man is AWESOME! He will bring 🔥 guaranteed. Anyone who can coach this dumpster 🔥 of a University to an elite 8 appearance will work magic @ USC. Great hire! Fight on!
How many times has USC said this? No school has underachieved at the level of USC. It’s a great hire for USC no doubt about it but USC is going to keep being underachieving USC. Lots of promise and talk with no results. No final four since the 1950s. Despite having a decent roster from time to time and good recruiting years here and there they always regress to puny results. You’re a basketball school? No you’re a football school. If your football players took to the court challenging your BB team it’d be a close game I am certain.
As many have stated, the timing was perfect. It was a win/win for SC and Enfield. SC gets an elite coach who has fire and personality. Enfield gets a new slate, and Dallas is a great place for his family. I wish him well.
Yes, continue with basketball both men and women. You cover it well. Short and to the point. Thanks for the professional video and recap of USC sports. I have been following you since the beginning. I hope you do get to 10,000. From a former PR and operations Director who was the youngest PR director in all sports at age 23 in 1976/1977. I also produced over 600 sporting events for professional baseball, professional indoor and outdoor soccer and college sports.
Get used to a new roster every year, that doesn’t gel until mid season. Except this past season it never gelled. But I think he can and will have success
Yeah he’s a great coach! But the constant roster turnover will eventually be a problem & my issue with him. He plays the 5 stars besides the freshman he got last year & the 4 stars eventually leave because they never play over the transfer players
I heard in this video that Arkansas was: 1. Irrelevant ???? 2. Not a factor ???? 3. DUMPSTER FIRE ???????? Mike Anderson, the coach prior to Muss, never had a losing season at Arkansas plus he restored and elevated the program. He just never could get over the hump and get past the second round of the NCAA tournament. Does this guy research and check his information before reporting? Well wishes to coach Muss and family. Well wishes to Razorback Nation and to the coaching search at Arkansas.
Not a great recruiter nor will he develop talent and after bout 4 yrs he’s looking to leave!! Yea he gave us some great moments but I’ve never seen a coach give up on a program like he did!!!
Haha I remember feeling same way a few years back, he’s a sore loser and has no offensive skills, Arkansas will be even better and I hope we play USC soon
He has a new team every year. He recruits all new players and the other ones try out for the NBA, or go to the transfer portal, because they don't get enough playing time. He will probably take some of them with him.
I watched him loose interest at Arkansas. Snuck in to the tournament in 2023 and got a little energized. But the problem I see for USC is can he compete against better competition in Big Ten play. After that, he did well in the beginning when he was one of the first to hit the portal hard. Then all the others got involved and it dropped off 22-23 then crashed 23-24. 13 Conference wins in his last two seasons at Arkansas total. Lots of talent was at Arkansas and they looked completely uncoached. Not a home run hire, but a good hire to get him back home.
Eric Musselman is fools gold, until he gets a handle on his “intermittent explosive disorder” and anxiety issues, he’s not going to win a trophy of any kind. But you guys are going to love his recruiting, but furious with the lack of real development. Good luck and enjoy the ride.
Huh? Name a clearly better hire? Who that is possibly available that remotely has his tournament record ? NBA experience > intensity? That said will never understand enfields inability to succeed here…he seemed to be doing the right things recruting the right guys etc , and his overall record was one of uscs coach’s best, BUT other than a few years we alwasy under[erofrmed, enfield couldn’t figure. It out, and many kids transferred, time for a change, probably for both Andy and usc.
Physical and disciplined. Two words you can use to describe Eric's teams and coincidentally, the very same words can be used to describe what Andy's team's lacked. I'm looking forward to a bright future. Adios, Andy. You got every chance and unfortunately for everyone, failed. Eric, 2 times sweet 16 and 2 times elite 8. Now add NIL and LA and let's see what he can do.
Eric Musselman definitely brought the buzz back to Arkansas basketball as far as getting top recruits & NCAA tournament results. But to say Arkansas was a dumpster fire is crazy considering Mike Anderson NEVER had a losing season while he coached the Razorbacks! I like Eric, but I must say the way he recruits will be problem if he’s constantly promising multiple players playing time like he did this past year at Arkansas which is why he had a terrible season this past year & locker room issues
As an Arkansas fan one bad season he's gone. If you think he cares about SoCal you're greatly mistaken. He's a great coach but either he leaves over one dog shit season or he'll go to the next job that goes after him
The one common denominator in all of these recent great coaching hires, is the recent arrival of Athletic Director Jen Cohen. Who by the way has an amazing resume of hiring great coaches! Now Jen, lets focus on MSCBGA ( Making SC Baseball Great Again ).
It’s a big time hire he is a winner you can expect good talent and tough defensive teams, offense might lack shooting and lack of movement but they will get to the rim and foul line a lot. Woo pig sooie 🐗🐗
Rather of had Sean miller. This is a Luke warm higher your glasses are just gold and cardinal. Simply just making the dance isn’t what we need. We need guys with a natty experience and pedigree….just for an example I was right about Bronny too ❤✌🏻
As a Razorback fan, this was a huge loss. This video is on point, Musselman did change the culture here at Arkansas. He expects a lot from his players, and defense is a huge component. Wish him and USC the best! I really feel like this hire is going to be a game changer for USC. He can propel this program to that next level where you all stay competitive, especially once tournament hits.
As a hog fan, I hate to see him go. He will definitely fit in. He wanted to get back home so I’m happy for him. He’s a different kind of person. He’s going to bring the energy. And his players better play defense or they won’t see the court. He can be a lot to handle but you’ll love him as your coach but the opposing teams and fans will hate him. He also has a beautiful wife who gets very involved in the community. Good luck, Coach Muss! Thanks for the memories♥️🐷🏀
As an SC fan that shows class. About 48 hours ago, USC had lost their coach, their key players transferred, and their recruits jumped ship. It can go sideways quickly, and it can bounce back quickly. The Hogs will bounce back. I live on the West Coast and Arkansas is considered an elite team.
@@ChadBest-ug8uo Muss made it a good program again. Which made it a great job again. I have no doubt we’ll get somebody good. But I’ll be a Trojan fan next year too. As long as they don’t play my Hogs😂
You guys are in for a shock, can’t coach! But is a good recruiter… players and coaches don’t like being around him..two year muss… keep the bus full of gas, he will be gone in in two years
Elite 8’s and sweet 16s and the guy can’t coach? I think you overestimate your basketball knowledge. Nevada fan here and this is a Lincoln Riley type hire.
