Nishantika Das is a well- known Bengali actress who is famous for her role Mayuri in the serial Mohor. She belongs to a middle class family in Kolkata and she has a twin brother, who used to be better than her in studies. While growing up, she has faced much criticism by people who compared her looks and talent to that of her brother. That made her develop a low confidence which was triggered by facing rejections in many auditions, some of which did not happen even after promises of the same. She is a person who is full of life, but once upon a time she did not want to live anymore. She tried committing suicide once. In her acting career, she has faced many judgements about her looks, where once a photographer said that she is not good looking enough. But then there were people who uplifted her.Later, she felt real happiness due to a significant incident in her life.
