This song comes from one of my favorite games. I really enjoyed all of the music in this game. This song stood out for many reasons- one is that it shares similarities to Secret of the Forest from Chrono Trigger.

I love'em all (Well, Peco a little less, but still an alright guy), but Momo has to be my favorite. Just a simple mechanic and engineer trying to make heads and tails of something way over her head.

Rei and Garr. But Peco is amazing as a character because of how strong he gets. Just love Rei and Garr's design. I'm more into the badass look.

D180223 I think III was the peak. IV was good, but it didn't feel quite as solid. It certainly had some amazing music though!

Rhyme Oddysey I agree and me too!! The beginning was a little grindy, but I somehow enjoyed it anyways- once I got past that though the game was nothing but good times :D. I'm always happy to find another BoFIII fan!

@@OmegaFoxOnFire yess. I had it stolen when I got to the desert with the Oasis. I downloaded it on the computer on emulator I got to the Oasis in life took hold of me and I had to move and store my computer. Long story short my bucket list is to complete the game

There's something about that funky, jazzy, muzak sound that Capcom used so much in the late 90's. It meshed so well with this game, and it's tone. Good cover.

Thank you for the compliment! I agree-- I really enjoy that late 90's Capcom vibe. That muzak sound is one of my favorites. It's actually quite challenging to pull off that sound (for me anyways!) but I'd love to try to do more covers in that style.

GamerBoyGU82 I've thought about 'These Little Things', 'Take it and Run', and most of all 'Casually'... although the latter is going to be difficult to pull off. Hopefully my chops will be up to the task someday.

I've thought about that! The original is obviously reminiscent of some of those old MiniMoog bass sounds, but I could certainly try to play it on bass-- I might be tempted to run the bass through some effects to help get that synth tone... maybe in parallel in order to preserve the natural bass sound though. To be honest with you, the bass & keys would take me a lot of practice! It's definitely in a style that I strive to be able to do though!!

+Truc Le Thanks for watching so many times :). You really hold BoFIII to a high regard! I tend to agree though- there's something really charming about the game. It felt really solid, too. One thing that I really respected the game for is that it had 3D backgrounds- I thought that was something that it had over FFVII/VIII at the time. Of course those pre-rendered backgrounds are really beautiful, but being able to move the camera around (in a game like this at the time) was just so cool!

I've never even heard of this game but this cover is awesome. Koto out of nowhere! And I love the harmony between the melodica and the synth at 1:43. Excellent job!

Voodoo Pup Thank you! I'm such a fan of the koto-- it's a great instrument for soloing as well as comping. The harmony part was one of the few things I added to the arrangement- I liked the idea of it joining with the lead so that it eventually turns into a three part harmony.

+Rafael Plastina Thanks for watching! I agree that this song is reminiscent of Chrono Trigger's "Secret of the Forest". The opening arpeggio is what stands out the most and to be honest, the similarities are relatively minor beyond that. Regardless, I really love both of the songs!

r3dbandit IIRC that desert area was very difficult. I remember being so scared to even enter it when I played it way back when... It was a very creative "maze"
