Breath of the Wild - Realistic Hyrule Map Diorama

Honestly, the way you painted the divine beasts were so amazing and fit with the realistic look of the board.

Honestly incredible work, dude. Although it is kinda funny how the divine beasts are twice the size of Hyrule Castle.

This came out so good! Not sure if you've played Pikmin, but one of those maps would be awesome, particularly Shaded Garden in Pikmin 3 since it has so many elevations and textures. A 3D map from a board game would be cool too!

At first I thought the topography was busted, but it's just the minis are massive! I'm happy they're so big though, it would feel weird to make the map way bigger to compensate, and also I don't think anyone would see them, which would be a real bummer because you did a great job painting them :) Love the look, hope to see more!

Great work! At first I was like no way this comes together, but when it does it looks absolutely amazing! The one thing I expected to see at the end was like a tiny red piece of fishing line connecting the divine beasts to the castle to represent the laser, cause it looks like you placed them in their freed locations and poses.

I love the amateurish approach you have. Unironically! Usually diorama channels have complete experts do everything as thoroughly as possible and with impossible levels of detail and polish, this is a breath of fresh air

Yeah, this is so cool, if you wanted to make the environment more lifelike you could add some sand or small rocks or fake grass to it. I think it would make it look much better.

This is awesome. Thanks for sharing your journey learning this kind of stuff. It's inspiring to see someone openly admitting that they're an amateur when all the other channels have expensive studios and massive budgets for every project and/or are already professionals at this kind of stuff. Seeing it this way really makes it feel more achievable.

You should totally do elden rings in hame map of the lands between. The continuous rise in elevation might be difficult, but it is one of the coolest in game worlds imo.

This is amazing, it would have been cool to see how you'd do the shrines and towers!

If you haven’t done so already, I’d suggest doing the first Legend of Zelda Overworld map

could you also make the tears of the kingdom map? i have a really cool idea for it, like you take the depths, add all of the lightblooms but you add LED's to it, and you run those LED cables through the structure of the depths ceiling or floor, and you have the lights light up the inside of the diorama. you can even have the pits on the overworld and make them go all the way through into the depths. and then for the sky islands you could make see through stands for all of the sky structures, or even attach the small islands to eachother with resin. and then, for the snowstorm over hebra you could use white wool to recreate the swirl. and for the thunderhead isles you could use gray wool to make the thunderclouds covering the islands. that would be so cool. i would do it if i could, but i can't.

What you could have done instead is get a graphite block and rub it against the back of the map, then draw all the lines you need whilst the paper is pressed against the foam. You might have some smudges, but those can be erased easily with an eraser

Pikmin would be such a fun one to make! Pikmin 3 i think has easier maps to find online. Lots of pretty water, too! Oh-! Also Horizon Zero Dawn! That's a gorgeous open map. Horizon Forbidden West might have more water features though? Not sure!

Very well done! You could catch the hype train from Tears of the Kingdom and grow your channel quite a bit if you do this with the (albeit similar) map! The added verticality may pose a challenge, but I'm sure you're more than up to it!
