Yes! A throwback to the summer of 1988. A Top 40 Hit! I like this band "Breathe." A winner in the summer of '88. I woke up to this song in my spirit. Thank you Lord.
My favorite song back then when it was released, and it still is my favorite song after all this time. I bought their "All That Jazz" album on cassette, and then bought it on CD as well later. I also got their 2nd album as well. Love these guy's music, and David Glasper's vocals are amazing.
"Hands To Heaven" Summer of '88 and another favorite by this beautiful sounding group: "Does She Loves That Man" by Breathe during the Christmas Season of '90
As I watch you move, across the moonlit room There's so much tenderness in your loving Tomorrow I must leave, the dawn knows no reprieve God give me strength when I am leaving... So raise your hands to heaven and pray That we'll be back together someday Tonight, I need your sweet caress Hold me in the darkness Tonight, you calm my restlessness You relieve my sadness As we move to embrace, tears run down your face I whisper words of love, so softly I can't believe this pain, it's driving me insane Without your touch, life will be lonely So raise your hands to heaven and pray That we'll be back together someday Tonight, I need your sweet caress Hold me in the darkness Tonight, you calm my restlessness You relieve my sadness Morning has come, another day I must pack my bags and say goodbye.

Breathe was always a little "limp" for me overall, they were mostly about the ballads or R&B. But David Glasper's vocals are UP THERE. I put him up there with George Michael for pop stuff. His control is really pretty spectacular.
I listen to a wide variety of music but I just can't listen to a song like this & then listen to a "song" threatening violence, degrading women, bragging about money & material possessions, and think of it as music. I simply cannot. Also cannot buy the argument that it's just "entertainment" & doesn't influence behavior.
