As you know Gary, I had some breathing issues, which I have worked on to improve. I took to excercises like the pencil across the mouth while reciting the alphabet (restricting the tongue and jaw movements, but gets the vocal chords working out) and even singing in the car to improve breathing methods! I also visit a salt cave which is great for clearing the air passages and lungs.For me, the issue has always been about the long read, like audiobooks. After taking off my headphones, I found that breathing became easier, and lighter so not so noticeable. Also, the technique of almost taking in breath just a little during a sentence, and letting out at the right time extended the time to breathe, and eradicated the heavy intake of breath that I used to do, which sounds almost as if one has held breath for a long time.Great piece, Gary, thank you!

So simple and yet excellent advice! I like the idea of marking up breathing points for (b) breathing. Editing my first audio book took me about 30 x longer to clean up than reading it. I'll definitely be trying this. Thank you Gary!
I spend a lot of time editing breath out of my video courses, although I don't like it. The advice on marking the script with B is really good. I've been following few diaphragm breathing exercise videos since yesterday. I hope those will help. Thanks for sharing useful info.
My solution is to record one sentence at a time, then stitch the clips together. The recording process might take twice as long, but the editing is almost non-existent, leading to a net time saving. Plus, if I mess up a single sentence in the middle of a paragraph, it's easy to re-take just that part.
