Wow, you are in for a treat if you have just started your u2 journey. They have an immense back catalogue for you to try out. His voice has always been sublime and the band so tight. When you see them live it’s a spiritual experience. Immense. Can’t wait to see your other reactions to their music. Almost any U2 song will suffice. “The Fly” is chocked full of religious references and hints and is straight up rock, like Vertigo. Bono sings between lows and falsetto, the Edge is fantastic, both with his guitar playing and backing vocals. Of course, Adam with his melodic bass, and Larry on drums are the driving force of the music. It’s an awesome experience of a song. U2 is my favorite band and always will be. Seeing your face and listening to your commentary afterwards is an amazing thing. You get it! I’ve seen them live 3 times and it’s always been amazing. You get the feeling God is in the room too.

The first 20 years of U2’career is untouchable in my opinion. By that I’m talking about how they mixed their sound and image up from album to album . It’s like a different band on every album. Completely agree. And all great song suggestions. I’d just find a way to do the *live* version of BAD (Wide Awake in America can count as an album in your list, right?) because that song is epic in the live extended version. Which then frees up a spot on TUF album, so I’d go with PRIDE there. (First time Bono sang a “stadium” chorus like that & Edge starting to find that classic sound of his.)
