Learn to speedfly: learntospeedfl... I teamed up with speedflyer & FPV pilot @EthanTheGoodGuy to capture some flights in my home area. Thanks for the good times, buddy! Music: Tor - Foxglove
Insane. Do you fly extremely close to the rocks because you have allot of control or is it because you are losing altitude? And how fast are you going?
Cheers! I focus on being smooth, fast & precise. Any proximity is simply for my enjoyment. With this speed, I can easily climb & glide away from the terrain if I would like to. 😊
outstanding visuals! what settings or post-production stuff did you do? Also - insane freaking piloting man! I fly regular PG and speedwings are undeniably awesome but too high risk factor for me to do it. You remind me of my canadian freeclimber friend in terms of style, music, and psychology :)@@joeyinnes
Thanks James. I use DaVinci Resolve to cut & colour grade. You will see that my previous videos each have different looks because I’m just beginning to understand colour & different film looks. Awesome that you paraglide. Such freedom & peace, right?!
yeah man the vids look great! I think a tiny bit of motion blur would smooth things out but it adds a lot to the render time! I like to shoot in 2.7k30 and upscale in resolve to 4k60 with optical flow frame blending - give it a shot (if it doesnt take forever to render! ;p)@@joeyinnes
Incredible scenes! Scared for your life watching this. Finding it hard to appreciate what your speed is. If the canopy/wing(?) touched the ground, would it be guaranteed game over, or can it cope with some contact/knocks?
Thank you. I keep a distance that is comfortable for me. Touching rocks or trees with a wing-tip could be very bad. Grass is not really an issue, but best avoided so as not to cause unnecessary wear of the fabric.
drone pilot @0:47 trim-out: "ooooookayyyyy heerreee we gooooooo". he can barely keep up. also the light @1:15. i'm never able to get this good a shot with sun in my face. just magic. it was similar in your last video too.
Na, thank you for the video! @@joeyinnes Love watching you fly as I know that even if I go there to fly, I won't ever see those lines from even near those positions!!! Keep safe ✌
I enjoy skiing and climbing, but I don't take unnecessary risks that lead to inevitably bad outcomes. The chances of it killing me is very unlikely. What this guy is doing in this video is incredibly dumb if remaining able bodied and continuing to be alive is a priority. I support his right to do whatever he chooses (as long as it doesn't put others at risk), but we shouldn't romanticize stupidity.
I defend your freedom to write this. That’s the whole point. These short flights are spiritual for me. I open my heart & my mind to all possibility. I manifest a childhood dream to fly fast. I hope that you have or will find the true (gut) health & peace that I know. Light, J
@@joeyinnes You do you, but I've seen too many people die from these extremely high risk activities. It's not the one who dies that pays the consequence. It's the wake of loved ones they leave behind who end up paying the price for that feeling you speak of. I can't get in your head to know for sure, but adrenaline seeking is similar to other addictions in my experience. With that said, I wish you the best and no regrets.
