Personally I loved the turntable. It's funny I look at this railway and if this was in Australia it would be bound by OH&S rules that would make it impossible to operate. It was nice to see visitors could roam onto the tracks and not be pinned behind endless fences as you always see where I live.
Came here recently for a festive visit despite my Atheism. It is wonderful ...I can neither deny or confirm if I was given a tour that some wouldn't usually get. Cracking place.
What a lovely little line! Less hardcore NG flavor, and more the vibe of a traditional railway just smaller... Could maybe do with some grease on the flanges though- the squealing is tremendous! :P
Skarloey(to talyllyn): sis are these engines in the video the New members of your crew? Talyllyn: i think so Skarloey BTW Yes some people prefer talyllyn as a girl #welshtwins
0:58 - Aren't those boys violating Railway Safety laws? Surely it's illegal for them to walk along the rails, even on a narrow gauge line, without the appropriate clothing? Correct me if I'm wrong.
Let's not make a fuss about that. Do you want this beautiful railways to be totally enclosed by fence. I saw that as well and sure these days the world has gone crazy with rules and regulations which just destroy any sort of fun and adventure. Lots of times the cost of compliance to laws kills off small railways. Prime example is the Zig Zag railway in Australia.
