Flightline truly is a once in a generation horse, possibly the greatest thoroughbred racehorse we've ever seen. Effortless 20 length victory in the PC. It's awesome to watch. I'm hoping he'll run the Pegasus at Gulfstream, this will be my 2nd year attending and I'd love to see Flightline in person.

Life is good in the Dubai race , the jock was trying make him and I don't think Life is Good wants the jockey to make him rate. A horse like Life is Good you have to let him run the way he wants to run and don't try to slow him down and try to make him rate

Of course he can be. Lots of great horses didn’t win the TC. Spectacular Bid didn’t win the TC. Dr. Fager didn’t win the TC. Ruffian didn’t win the TC. Ghostzapper didn’t win the TC. Zenyatta didn’t win the TC. Man O’War didn’t win the TC. Seabiscuit didn’t win the TC. Your statement is absurd. Flightline is certainly one of the fastest horses of all time.

Plenty of phenomenal horses haven't won the Triple Crown. Some horses that had some of the best careers of all time didn't win the triple crown. Spectacular Bid didn't win the TC. Native Dancer didn't win the TC, Kelso didn't win the TC, Man o War didn't win the TC, Dr. Fager didn't win the TC, Forego didn't win the TC. In fact 6 out of the top 10 greatest American thoroughbreds of the 20th century didn't win the triple crown. In fact the top rated American horse of the 20th century (Man o War) didn't win the triple crown. So you're statement is absurd. Flightline is without a doubt one of the most talented individuals you will ever see in racing. He probably won't have as good of a career, but that doesn't change his talent levels.

@@speedgenius9918 I think he would have beaten Secretariat most days. The tracks were a lot more souped up back then and Flightline wasn’t fully extended in any of his races. His stride is also about 1 foot longer than Secretariat’s stride, which automatically gives Secretariat the disadvantage at the very least in the shorter distance races. I think the much more interesting race would have been Flightline vs Ghostzapper. The more I watch Secretariat’s races, the more I think that the two aforementioned horses are better overall. Secretariat was a beast against 3 year olds, but wasn’t so much against older horses.

Too many questions. Has only run and won one route. That was on a rock hard Del Mar surface where he set more of sprint like 6f pace of 109.4 leading by 10 lengths. In all his previous sprints he was leading by the 1/2. He’s never been headed so we don’t know if he has guts and also hasn’t shown the ability to win with dirt being kicked in his face. Life Is Good and Taiba will undoubtedly be leading by the 1/2 and 3/4 mark with Olympiad and Hot Rod Charlie right on them. Flightline will have to do something he’s never done before……pass horses coming around the second turn while getting dirt in his eyes. He’s shown he needs to be near the front. Two horses that HAVE shown they can rate, pass horses and one of which will win the BC Classic is either Epicenter or believe it or not, yes, Rich Strike. This race sets up for him…..finally With decades of experience under my belt I’m NEVER going to bet a 3/5 shot expecting him to do things he’s never done before.

FL wasn’t in the front in the Met Mile and he put away a very, very good Speaker’s Corner easily. In fact, I think he broke Speaker’s Corner’s heart. FL missed the break in that race, rushed up, had to check, and had to sit behind horses. He’s had dirt in his face. I think Life is Good leads with Flightline sitting just outside of him. I don’t think they will let Life is Good get too far ahead. I will be surprised Taiba goes. Taiba will probably be second flight here sitting just behind. This isn’t a race that you bet. This is a race that you watch. I never bet against the best horse in the race and definitely not when that horse has been running like Flightline. It’s better to pick the best horse in the race and bet that one when they have good odds, like Forte in the BC juvenile yesterday.

@@silvereyedstacker1842 I took a shot. The race developed differently than I expected. I thought for sure Smith would have sent and go with Saver. I’m sure Savers jock was wondering where the help was. When I saw Prat peek under his arm I knew he had it. Jocks I’ve seen do that normally have plenty of horse. The track was conducive to speed. Those fractions should have been suicidal route fractions but the pace never backed up. 2/5 on a horse I felt was suspect left me to look elsewhere for price. I woulda hit I’d look like a genius. Though I did hit 4 out of the last 6 BC races no one cares about. It’s the one I missed by stating I was going against the 2/5 fav that people focus on. At the end of the day I came out ahead You won’t ever come out ahead by anything significant betting and cashing on 2/5 shots Best.

@Patrick Sheehan Okay I will - In Europe only donkeys and average horses run on non turf tracks. What is the breeders cup about anyway? For the most part it’s just a load of mediocre American horses on drugs being beaten by good European horses not on drugs.

Life is Good was for some time rated in the top 5 in the world rankings. In case you forgot he beat last year's top ranked racehorse in the world. To say he is facing nothing is definitely an exaggeration.
