Hi, why you didn*t put any perch into the box for the bird which is not sitting in the bowl? The lattice seems not very comfortable for the birds standing on all the time. Could imagine an inverted clay nestbowl can give more comfort for the birds, and a dancing point for the cockbird. cheers tobi
I don’t add perches to my breeder boxes due to the droppings piling up making a mess inside the box. They are pigeons they can’t ask for much more than what they already get they live first class if you ask me lol. Thanks for watching.
How many breeders do I need to start my own kit I tried getting Into the hobby when I was 17 I bought 1 pair of regular homing pigeons and wanted to start a free flying loft so I can watch them fly but something broke into my cage and ate my pigeons or they got away now that I'm older I have more funds can builder a better loft and get more breeders, and tbh I rather have rollers than homers.
Dont worry about how many pairs to start with it is better to get just a couple quality pair of birds and build from there to build a nice kit it takes around 10 or so pair to produce 20 birds in one round but if they are all junk you have gained nothing if you take your time and build your loft of good birds you will have much better results in the end
