For people that think this is crule that is a teasing mare they collect the semen to sell they dont let the horses breed naturaly because the horses can get stuck and hurt the stallion or the mare may hurt him or he may hurt the mare (Edit: omg sooo many likes)
Since you mentioned Haflingers, I remember riding one at the Roosevelt Resort in Yellowstone. I found her VERY cute but too bouncy and ready to run for my riding ability. 😊 Later when I had my little farm in Idaho, the elderly neighbor asked us to take his terribly neglected matched pair of Haflingers who had both foundered from grazing unrestricted in the large untended back pasture. He didn't even know. They were so sweet. We got them the care they needed to not be in pain but they couldn't work again. We would have cared for them forever but when the neighbor died, his son came and picked them up. I tried to explain about the founder and he seemed to neither understand or care and said he had a buyer. I'll always wonder and worry about what became of them.
@@Icelanddd if breeding is disgusting and animals didnt want to do it then they'd practically be extinct by now. animals, unless neutered/spayed, have a drive to breed so that their species does not die out.
@@Icelanddd Most animals don't have the intelligence to understand that. To a horse, It's life is made for 3 things: Eat, reproduce, die. Do some basic research.
@@Icelandddwhat? It’s a natural cycle of life. That’s quite disrespectful, if horses didn’t breed then eventually there’d be no horses and I know a lot of people wouldn’t like that. Yes it can be cruel in some situations but generally speaking it’s not
Another reason, it only takes one collection to create multiple "straws" so the stallion doesn't have to be collected nearly as much, those straws can then be sent all over the world to breed mares without the mares or the stallion having to endure the stress of traveling
They are collecting the stallions semen to be imported to different mares across the world. Way easier and way less stressful for both mare and stallion.
Love seeing him be a horse and he's very respectful where I have a placement there is a stallion he has never got turnoutsince he arrived so over 1 ½ months it's sad really
