Hey u get your 10pk? If so how are they doing? And may I ask where your getting your 10pk from? In 2 days, Friday I’m get a proven breeding pair of L236SW RB line for $1,300… I’m stoked!!!!
Hey great video! I’m a new owner to L046’s, starting out with a couple of 1.25”. The other day one of them got wedged between some rocks and it scraped the skin off one side of his head. For example the side of the head where there should be verticals strips is just raw flesh. I have him in a breeder box with Almond leaves and half dose of Melafix. Do you have any advice on what more I should do to ensure recovery? Thanks.
You did everything I would do. It’s just a time game now. When one my pleco’s get hurt I don’t put them back with the group until there completely healed. 👌
would you mind sharing your process on extracting the eggs? i know as far of the method to washing them out into my external breeder box but at what stage do i pull them and how long do i leave them in the breeder box before moving them into my other 100Litre tank to grow out in ? great video by the way 👍
When there are very young and from the same batch I look at the size differential. When they are a year old I look at personality. Males will guard caves and the females will not. 👍
Awesome job. What kind of water? R/O tap? What are ur numbers out of the tap? I have soft water, but they like a low PH correct? 5.5? Great job. I'm studying ur success. Tell me more..., 😂Fish in demand rn. 🙌
A couple years ago I was really into trying to keep my PH close to 6 but I stopped doing that. I use straight tap water with API tap water conditioner. Zebras are easy breed at least for me anyway lol. All Zebras need is frequent water changes, and patience waiting for them to mature. 👌😁
That’s a hard one because I love the consistency of how my zebras look. Thats not the case with the super whites because some look better than the other but the ones that stand out are amazing.👍
Beautiful fish , You had mentioned that you pulled the eggs out ,do you have a video of you doing just that, would really like to see how you do that ? Thank you take care
Awesome ! I'm doing rainbows now but still have no idea why my pieces don't survive. I did have a zebra for awhile years ago and I killed it when I had to work non stop. What is the most important thing when keeping them? I know the gold nuggets have more specific needs and probably the yellow seamed also. Always have wood with boiflim and feed meaty things but I'm still afraid of keeping any like that let alone zebras.
I’ve had a few people reach out to me having the same problem with Zebs. I really not sure I have more success with zebs than with Bristlenose pleco’s. I spot feed them when young and feed a high quality food plus I stay up on my water changes. Most people I know lose there zebs due to heater malfunction . Other than that you should be fine.👌
That is so awesome, I was thinking of trying to breed some plecos, would probably start with something a little more affordable, but this is awesome that you are being successful.
@@flexintonsaquatics I'll check back on you around Feb. I'm interested in your group because I'm thinking they are either F2's to F3's. I really don't want F1 fish since I like these to be domesticated as possible. Do you think you'll have a group of 10-12 fish available?
Great video thank you for posting im breeding L134's I've had them for 4 months now and finally just had my first clutch!!! Curious on what you're feeding your babies? And how to care for them i would love to see a video of baby care! I've had my caves in the middle where I can see them ill try changing it up and hopefully have some higher chances!
@@flexintonsaquatics I'd try Pleco Ceramics Hypancistrus gel where they smear it on a rock...they go right for it, and was made by one of the top Zebra plecos in the world. He produces over 1000 fry a year.
