Yeah, Breedloves are "magnetic" but, they tend to be more problematic in a mix that some guitars that may not sound as pleasant to just play. But for those who like a little bit of everything, Breedlove is a must. I have two, they're not my favorite but, they are "magnetic".
Man, killer playing. I have one of the first Organic series concerts, a spruce/mahogany non-cutaway, and it's such a resonant and well-balanced guitar, even for heavy strumming. It's such a great instrument that I really want another Breedlove, but I also wanted something with more dreadnought-like bass and projection. This video convinced me that the spruce/mahogany Performer Pro Concerto is the way to go. Thanks!!
I had never heard of Breedlove Guitars until 2013, when I walked into Guitar Center looking for something exciting and different. There, on the wall, standing out among all the other acoustic guitars, was this sudden eye-catching wonder of a guitar. It looked like it could be a piece of art hanging in a museum-and a Concert-style 12-string, at that! I didn’t see a full brand-name on the headstock. Only a ‘B’ logo. Long story short, I played it, purchased it, and took it home with me. Since that time, I’ve purchased six other Breedloves (all 6-string models). Among these are two of the all-new Breedlove Organic Performer Pro series: a Concert-style (spruce/mahogany) and a Concerto (spruce/rosewood). Aside from the Breedloves, I also own two Martins, a Taylor, and a Yamaha-all very nice guitars. But the Breedloves get more play time than the others. As Breedlove says, in their slogan: “You’ll PLAY better, SOUND better and play MORE on a Breedlove”. Well, guess what? They are not joking! Of course, regardless of the brand-name of a guitar, the build quality, the prestige, or the high-end price tag, not every guitar player is naturally going to have a proclivity towards it. There is no accounting for individual taste. Different strokes for different folks. But, for me, every Breedlove I own, so far, seems to attest to their slogan.
Hey Buddy, it's my first time on your channel...ha ha ha!! And yes I did subscribe! Your playing is fantastic, I love the touch that you display with you fingerpicking and percussive technique! Also your transitions from pick to fingers and back is very "Bukovacian"!! I was drawn to your video as I am considering purchasing an acoustic and I saw some good deals on some Breedlove models.
Nice demo. The part where you really dug in highlighted the benefit of an all-solid-wood guitar vs. a solid -top with ply back and sides. IMHE, a guitar with solid wood retains openness and an authoritive voice whereas a guitar with plywood always sounds more nasal and you hit a hard volume ceiling beyond which the guitar stops getting louder and loses authority, kinda like a vocalist singing out of their key!
Could you put specific link for the guitar? There are options for the series and your link in show notes is just a link to series collection. And you are inaccurate at 2:03 for naming scheme! Cheez!
