OMG! At 74, I've been a maker all my life and dabbled in stained glass, basket weaving, quilting and needlepoint. Now I've discovered cross stitch and that lead me to you guys. You are rays of sunshine! I just sat through nearly 2 hours of your Floss Tube and loved every minute. I love what you do. Your aesthetic is the same as mine. I hope to learn a lot from you and I hope some of it is your joy in living. Plus, I hope to have an ornament or 2 for my Christmas tree.

Hello ladies; It is never to long. You have opened up a whole new world to me in the land of stitching. It was so nice to hear about all your adventures and your haul. I live in a small town of Churubusco , In . I do stitching, knitting, crochet and like Laura I too want to quilt. I am a 40 minute drive from Shipshewana and never knew of the stitching retreat. Maybe one day. I have watched every one of your flosstubes, you both have been such a comfort to me. I pray for you Brenda that all will be well. Love , Love , Love you both.

Loved your video and I will probably watch it again. It is never too long. I have been to Yoder's and it is such an incredible store. My husband ran marathons until the last year and he always made sure we found a fabric or yarn store each time he had a race. We made it to all but 7 of the 50states until it had a health issue. I love to see the wonderful gifts stitch ladies send to you, such generous ladies. Prayers that all goes will for the last of the scans.

Took me several sessions to view all your goodies. Just glad to see your smiles. The gifting leaves me speechless but l understand it’s everybody’s way to give back. Laura, our son graduated from GVSU so we spent a good amount of time in Holland. Loved their heated sidewalks and always got a crate of fresh picked blueberries when we took him back to school.
"The Bedspread" is one of my favorite books too. When I was an elementary school librarian, one of the parents gave me two copies - one for the library and one for me. She knew that I was a quilter. The sweet story makes me smile. (Just like the two of you do.) Thank you!
Oh Brenda and Laura!! I am once again feeling like I could cry watching this video! Brenda, finally being able to meet you in person was a highlight of the retreat for me. I almost got very emotional handing you the card because I was still feeling like I was in another world, but I was soooo happy you were able to make it to Amana :) I hope you'll be at next Fall's retreat! 'Cause you know I will be! Laura, Stitch Con is going to be AMAZING. Weekend A will definitely be the weekend to be at! :) I don't know if Ohio will be able to handle these powerful forces lol. Theresa Kogut showed a finish on the child’s shovel that your mom may have seen. Heard about your covered buttons while at Inspired Needle retreat the second week. I’ve been crocheting flowers ( thanks Lori Holt for your tutorial) and appreciate your input on best location to purchase button supplies. I learned wool appliqué at the retreat from Sue with Cross Stitch Fancies. Eager to go to sites you suggested to kit up some more projects. Always a joy to see your beautiful work, designs and hear your laughter.
Never worry about how long your videos are bc every minute is enjoyable to watch. I have kitted up Mary Clayton and it will be my first sampler. I’m sure you will finish it long before me Brenda. I was lucky enough to spend a weekend in Amana this summer but did not see those beautiful boxes!!! I need to search for those next trip. So much eye candy. So much enabling, but this is the way!! Hi Brenda & Laura...Congrats on your last chemo... What can I say but wowwwwwww You definately had a fab retreat ... Laura sounds like your mum and you had a blast... so many fabuluss goodies were bought... have fun stitching them... and making your buttons... Lots of gorgeous gifts to receive too... I have loved every minute of your video... I will be going to my Optician tomorrow to get my second caterac 4 week check up... everything is a lot clearer but I will need glasses for close work... I hav'nt been able to stitch in months.. but hopefully this is gonny change in the weeks ahead. I have been making all oor Christmas cards and I am now in an A.T.C. group... having fun making these too. I have also found a new hobby mixed media.. using spray inks and stamps etc... Writing from Holland, Michigan! Laura I had no idea you are from Holland. I have lived in Holland for 40 years and love this town even if it is lacking in cross stitch shops. I was also in Shipshe when you were there. The Grand Rapids American Sewing Guild does our annual retreat at the Blue Gate Garden Inn and we always hit Yoder's and Lolly's. I look forward to your videos every other Sunday and love hearing about all your stitching adventures. Brenda, I'm so glad to hear you are done with chemo and pray for good results at your next dr visit. (I'm a breast cancer survivor.)

Dearest Laura, I am sorry to hear that you are feeling overwhelmed. When a channel grows, the comments and gifts do as well. I have seen this with others in the FlossTube and wider crafting community. It seems like an avalanche (one of kindness) but an avalanche nevertheless. I think your viewers know that you and Brenda are both very appreciative and sincerely care about your fellow stitchers. No one wants you to spend all your free time commenting and locked into social media. We want you loving your life, getting all hepped up and metaphorically having a hernia over your latest projects 💙! I hope you find a nice manageable balance going forward. The outpouring comes because you two are so wonderful! Speaking for myself, I am a solitary stitcher and crafter. I have only had many, MANY negative experiences when going to a variety of different events/stitch togethers/classes. So now I craft at home in my lovely craft room and watch you ladies and a few others. You bring a smile to my face and I enjoy your videos so very much! Thank you!!!
Hello love you ladies! The first zoo ever was in the Tower of London!! Just saw that in a documentary. My daughter just went to London (summer 2023) and was wondering why there was sculptures of animals all around The Tower of London. So that was the first zoo in London. (You mentioned zoos when you held up your pretty giraffe bag).
You two are in my top 5 flosstubers list. I love watching you and you can’t possibly make a video too long. Can’t wait until the next one. Yes , Brenda, can’t wait to hear the good report.

So glad that you are finished with your chemo, Brenda. Whew! That was a trip and a half, wasn't it? Crossing my fingers for a good scan. 🤞 Laura, your little metal shovel is a kiddie dust pan. Now you need to find a little antique broom to go with it.🧹 Now I'm off to find some of that same kiddie fabric. One of my local quilt shops has some new fabrics in the same vein but they are fairy tales (e.g. Snow White, Alice in Wonderland, etc.)
