This song though. THat voice though. The production though. The whole thing is out of this world. Honestly I don't think Rihanna and Beyonce are anywhere close to this level of depth.
i second that 💯 with todays production she would have been as big as all the big names, she still is n forever will be anyway, I'd listen to her any time other thn all female artists these days they all wack.
It’s now 2024 and this is still the most underrated song ever, including Brenda Fassie’s other songs!!! I remember buying this cd when it first came out and just playing this song on repeat.. it still gives me the chills
Get so emotional every time i hear this..yizo yizo mama.😢alwys makes me think of how my mother managed to raise us.a single mother of 3..fell inlove with this song the 1st time i heard it, way back. Rip brenda fassie❤
I think I was in grade 10 or 11, and I bought the album, which I still have it in my personal box. My mom and I would randomly go on these unplanned trips, come back home late. If I was at school, she'll come and pick me up from the boarding house and we'll go out for the afternoon, reminding me to bring along the CD so that we play it in the car. We still do that even now when we chill at home, cooking and my son (now 10 years), would join into the vibe of dancing with us. Just the three of us. Come December, we'll do it again!!!!!! MaBrr.... you may be gone but your legacy lives on!
The true queen of Africa. A voice that could carry angels from heaven!!! Such a loss for us mortals but be assured they dancing in the heavens!!! As a white SouthAfrican I am incredibly proud of what this incredibly talented woman acheived and she still remains a beacon of light for so many!!! Rest in peace we miss you!!!
2021 reminiscing on moments I had with my late brother (passed on December 2004) over this song 🥺, actually the entire Yizo Yizo 3 soundtrack. I still get teary, goosebumps, still hear the laughter that came with the dance moves, RIP maBrrrrr ❤️
My brother passed away in 2018 yizo yizo 3 sound track was his all time favorite album...I remember he used to breakdown the lyrics of this song for me...RIP mabrrrrrr RIP lance
One of the best tracks from yizo yizo and brings back such bad and good memories 😭😭. life was good xem, Gone are those days. Those who played ku yizo yizo are now parents and grand parents 😍👏thanks for the Craft and the talent you showed us much appreciated (Things will never be the same). 😭😭😭😭.
Why do succesful and talented people fall for the drug trap? Brenda & TK will always be my 2 favorite female singers of all time. What a song this is, what a talent
This song reminds me of both a brother and sister that l have lost more than 15 years ago. My love is still at large for you . Let your soul rest easy. My love is forever with you
its reminds me of my mother and she is still alive and well but scared of losing her😥😥she is old now but not old enough to see her grandcildren, i was in grade 4 watching yizo yizo and all these music sounds reminds me of my stepdad😥💔💔💔 i have a lot to say...
Teboho Mahlatsi and Angus Gibson deserve something along the lines of a life-time achievement award for their work in South African television. They shouldn't allow both of them to die without some form of honor. They've created some of the most important and compelling South African dramas of their time. Works of remarkable artistic integrity, with a gifted ensemble of actors and writers. The writing and cinematography of their shows is always on point - these are people who take television very seriously and understand that it's an art form on its own (as Americans do!) . Yizo Yizo, Zone 14, and now Isibaya. During the broadcasting of this season of Yizo Yizo, I was still in high school and going through so many things, chief among them was just a hyper-sensitized awareness of change, to loss, or pending change anyway. I've always associated this song by Brenda with those years of great internal turmoil for me. It remains one of the saddest and most beautiful songs of those days. But I can't listen to it more than once, it brings too many sad memories for me. It's beautiful, one of my favorites, but an emotional downer from very traumatic periods. There was another song from this album, by Simphiwe Dana. I know because I had bought the album after I liked the song by Brenda. It was also one of my favorite tracks. During that time, Dana wasn't as established a musician as she is now. I think it was some months before her first album was release. I can't seem to find it on RU-vid, though.
I have been saying!! And still say Yizo Yizo 3 is the Bomb's best work... From the content, the visuals, the sound, the talent absolutely unmatched!! I First heard Simphiwe Dana and MXO on that season and I've been a fan since then!
15 years without our Queen Mabrrr!😣💔 She past away one day before my birthday, isn't easy to me celebrate my birthday without think in my Queen. RIP Queen.😍
My mom passed away on the same day as her, different years and sadly couldn't get to meet her grandchild as my daughter's passport only came out when she passed. Breaks my heart
