Brenda along with the magical productions of the greatest producer in the history of Nashville Owen Bradley created this classic. Brenda is without doubt one the greatest recording artists that ever lived! I personally have produced and written for Connie Francis Another wonderful singer Brenda is the greatest L.Russell Brown I love you Brenda
Am I being unreasonable TV series bought me here. What an amazing song. I may be 20years old but this song has a special relatable meaningful place in my heart. Glad I found it. Brenda Lee your voice is an inspiration.x
These old songs from the fifties and the sixties! I miss them so much today! They were so romantic, so pure, so trustful! So respectful! Today these features are not used any more, in the opposite, they are rude, un polite and aggressive! 😢😢😢
You've discovered a beautiful American classic at a young age. There's much more to discover! Listen to some songs by Patsy Cline. I suggest 'Crazy', 'Sweet Dreams', 'She's got You' for starters.
Even though this song/style of music is old, which I was never brought up with or introduced to much, considering I was born in the 90's.. I actually really like this song. It's very sweet and simple and I love her voice. And I love the fact it's easy to sing along to and what you hear is what you get. There's no hiding and no denying the talent. It's just very elegant, honest and sophisticated. I love old songs like this and sometimes I get sick of all this new music. Take me back to the olden days
Emilie Wood You've missed out on a lot of great songs she's sung. Just go to the top and key in "Brenda Lee" and you'll have dozens of her songs to enjoy.
Those were Divine times 😍. And I think again that someone has to eat today's music😁the youngsters. I'm young too but, oh man, the music now, it's horrible 😐. Thank God for leaving us with lovely generations of music for our ears and hearts.💙🙏
@@gaitachi3256 Right, in 15 and the thought of the music today is just a disgusting picture. Can't imagine sitting there enjoying myself listening to WAP, BODY, gochi gang, ect. Most of the music now just sucks. I'm thankful for the past generations for giving us so many good songs.
Nice to see old comments of mine. @@maliyahhale1223, it is a rough picture for most of the music today. There are bad songs from the past too and today we do have a lot of good hearted songs. My partner shared songs with me and I got to see that not all is bad, today. Listen to Vietra - Strawberry EPru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_wBf6dMNdMc.html. I really liked it because it sounds like old songs, but it's still unique and a good demonstration that there's still sweet talent.
I didnt really appreciate Brenda Lee when i was a kid. But my eldest sis' fave singer. Decades later, i am 65! the poignancy n richness of her voice strikes n moves me deeply! Wonderful!
@@ronallan8680 She'd just turned 17 and I was on the verge of 21 at the time. Told her abruptly it was over without telling her why. Didn't want to tell her of my serious calling and preparation to return to Vietnam. I'd rather have her think it was for any other reason. I was a USMC field radio operator and was intending to go to a Recon unit and likely not return. Didn't want her to fret and worry about me 'cause I wasn't looking to come back alive; would rather she think whatever she wanted (although I did say I wasn't leaving her for another girl). As it turns out, I was injured before I left, and when I got out about 14 months later was too ashamed to call her. When I did call a year after that, her mother told me she no longer lived there and to not call back. Jump forward another 46 years and I learned she'd married 2 months after my ETS, had four children and passed away in 2014. I'm glad she lived what I believe was a good life. I've been extremely blessed too, but I still wonder, "What if..." I've healed, but occasionally (rarely) I get a case of sentimentality and the blues. There's a little more back story, but that's too personal, and I've already opened too much.
@UCPHBhUC__XxfUuio2QcYhVA Thats a great story. It was noble to want her to move on if you thought you weren't gonna come back. I have had talks with my S.O that if I ever passed, I'd want her to move on. IMO wanting happiness for her, no matter what outcome, is the greatest expression of love! You did good Gerry! As a man, I understand you actions perfectly! I unerstand where you were coming from. And I feel the pain of "What if". "What if" is the toughest pill to swallow Time to forgive yourself. They were hard times and you were looking out for her! Time to let it go and be happy that she did the best she could, and so did you.
Brenda lee was and is the best female singer in the world.I am now 80 and from day one absolutely love her voice. We saw her many years ago in Nottingham and was absolutely stunning ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for sharing your experience Sir. Someday, if given the same time as you, we will definitely feel it. "WELCOME TO THE DAY WHERE WE WILL PASS." The wheel of life will surely come to us.
One of if not the most beautiful songs ever recorded. Only Miss Lee could do such a superb job..she brought so much joy into my youth..I miss her soo much. RIP Miss Lee your music lives on ♡♡
I’m only 11, and man... I love this song. I’m an old soul... I love James brown, Brenton wood, Sam cook, billy steward etc. And you can say I’m not like the rest of the other kids...
Dat Boii it needs to be said. Because out there some kids yell at their parents or sometimes get mistreated, and they don’t know how to act forwards the hate. 2019 is crazy... and im afraid it’s going to get even worse.
I dont knw from which era this song is but as a immigrant Pakistani American i am enjoying it and i agree with someone at the bottom they dont make such songs anymore. All u hear these days is P**** P*** and D*** d*** in songs lol
