I argue that Rogan has been bad for comedy, as far as the listener and audience (US) goes. They are mostly garbage. The list is too long to name them all. I’m really glad they’re all making tons of dough. But I will criticize the boring unfunny ones every time

The comedy scene, especially around the Rogan crowd, has such a strange culture. It's like some sort of gentleman's club with its own dialect. Anything from something like "Joey is a straight murderer" to Rogan going off on the high art of comedy, talking about sets and specials. I enjoy the observation.

I dunno much about Brendan tbh. The drama means nothing to me at all. I just know he receives a lot of hate. Personally though - as someone who knows very little about him and Mark - I find Brendan much easier to handle than Mark. Mark has always given me strong Narcissus vibes. If for some reason I had to pick one to spend the day with, I’d choose Brendan. All of this to say that this Mark dude seems like a “clout goblin”.

One of the most popular shows here in Ireland is one of our best comics doing a talk show where they don't tell him beforehand who the guest are and they can be anyone from local celebs to huge stars and it just works so well both in chat format and occasional comedy parts when he's no idea who they are. Sounds like this is what George is doing almost by accident by not researching guests but it's better in a way cos he has less bias
As a try hard comic, you should know the comic space already, both these dudes are known, that's all, brendan got a brain dead idea he could be a comic, without doing the work, building a craft and a brand and a name, and studying the history... Anyone can be funny, not everyone can be a comic

Most if not every time a close friend is involved in business, the friendship deteriorates eventually because no matter what there is always going to be a moment where the friendship created entitlement for something that isn’t deserved
Some people want to make it themselves at whatever endeavor they are pursuing and do not want handouts or jobs from family nor close friends. They want to set their own paths.

You're not on Reddit are you? Mark did an AMA that was very revealing. Brendan just shows up and does nothing and expects his staff to be at his beck and call 24 hours a day and not pay them most of the time.

Brendan Schaub the type of person that has lifelong dreams depends on what the topic the guest is more inclined to talk about. i mean if he gon interview Rodman, he prolly has the lifelong dream of wearing colored hair and wearing dresses in vegas and wreckin boards on a game night 20mins after vegas.
Because Rogan is not funny. He never was he got famous too early became an actor presenter and sold out and then tries to act like he is against the business and walked away when the truth is he was a has been who the industry discarded cause he had no actual genuine talent.

The more I hear about all this, the more I think they’re probably both mutually at fault. Can’t say I’m a fan of either (though considering how much of the drama I’ve followed, I dunno hahah), but Mark never really seemed like the hero in this to me. They both feel douchey

Shane Gillis was invited to be on SNL years ago before most people knew of him.

I've only seen George in passing, usually through short clips, but I think he may be more successful through honing in on his own intelligence and insight rather than going in for a laugh. Sometimes, George, you got to do your research on your guests.
